'I felt I had found a diamond in the rough. The gate opened to a beautiful pool, in front of the large patio. The house was large and the layout was perfect for us. We have a large family and little children so safety was very important. One bedroom and bathroom on first floor so you didn’t have to climb steps to potty. 'First, Rena's beachfront property, Casa Del Mar Esmeralda was every bit as beautiful as advertised. And before we even arrived Rena's hospitality was on display, as she answered several questions we had about the area: travel, security, sharks (lol), Cenotes, La Ruinas, etc. Her and her staff were very accommodating from the time we arrived, which included arrangements for my partner Melissa to actually check in a few hours earlier than me. 'Amazing, refreshing family holiday! We loved this quiet, private beach front property. Pool was well maintained. Property manager met us on initial check in! Great places to eat within walking distance and there was fruit and vegetables at a local market. Bedrooms (2) comfortable with air conditioner in each room. The locals were helpful and friendly.Would definitely recommend this site if you're looking for a relaxing, private getaway.'

'This property was spectacular so close to the beach, but the property, especially the backyard with pool and all the outside amenities makes you just so content to stay home. The location is perfect because you are away from everyone but just a 10 minute drive either way and you’re in one of the lovely towns.. honestly cannot say enough about how wonderful this property is. 'The house met our general expectations. The kitchen was well stocked (utensils, pots and pans, glasses, etc), Smart TVs, furnishings were fine, outdoor patio area, including the pool were fine. A/C in the bedrooms works well. The power went out the first night of our stay, I suspect this is a grid issue, too much demand not enough supply. Power was restored around 10 AM, approximately. We were out of WIFI our last day before checking out. Some general maintenance updating would be appropriate....

'The house is not fancy but it is a good value and the neighborhood is very cool. Grab some baguettes at the panaderia by the Ermita de Santa Isabel just a couple of blocks away and get food and drinks at the Autogiro Ermita Cantina a couple of blocks past that. You won't regret it!'
