We booked this stay for the wedding of our daughter on June 21, 2025. We were looking for a true experiemnce of No. GA mountains, and this place was as expected. We spent the days enjoying the mountain air in the morning and the cute surrounding mountain towns during the day. We loved this place and would be looking in the future to rent again and stay a bit longer. Owners were very kind in their reponses and their home is very lovely.
Horrible (in fact NONE) communication from property manager, Greg Langston. The place was FILTHY. Dusty, dirty, no propane, and smells to high hell of sewer gas. Absolutely would not ever stay again. Worst VRBO experience ever.
The house we booked was advertised as 3b/2b . It was 1 bedroom with a loft and a bunk bed in the unfinished basement w/ no bedding. The dogs next door barked incessantly day &night.Someone called the cops the 1st night saying we were fighting at 11:15- (we were playing charades with our kids and lost track of time)cops showed up and laughed w/ us. (A simple âkeep it down âwould have sufficed). Walk into a broken couch (TG, there was note taped to the table saying it was already broken) it was decent enough, but the incessant dog barking may be a problem-it could be cleaner and bedroom situation advertised better.
We enjoyed our stay. Property is secluded, but very close to restaurants, grocery stores and boat rentals. We will stay here again as it is very close to relatives in Young Harris.
We enjoyed our stay and the location was very convenient. We appreciated having a place our dog was welcome. We would definitely consider staying there again.
Nice home-very comfortable and well appointed. The drive and yard are steep; not a problem for us, but might be for some. The house was very clean, with good selection of dishes and cookware. Linens were nice, and we really enjoyed the gas logs in the fireplace!
Good weekend visit!
Cute property, perfect location. Check in/out was easy. No cutting board, fireplace and dishwasher were wonky. It did suit us though, for the weekend get away!
Enjoyed our stay house was clean and beautiful. It snowed our 1st night there and had some ice on the steep incline driveway so a little scary getting up to the top to leveled out parking. House gets a A+ nice and homey i would stay again and would tell friends about it. ENJOYED IT DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE THE PROPERY.
Our experience was great from beginning to end. Easy to find. Easy checkin and checkout process. Property manger was easy to get in touch with. Allowed us to checkin early. Very clean. Had all the amenities as if you were home in your own house. Nicely decorated. Definitely would rent again if in the area.
Little Bear Lodge is just right for small groups. We loved the screen porch and spent a lot of time there! Such a peaceful atmosphere. Beds were very comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean. We had trouble with the steep driveway at first, but figured it out. (If you donât have four-wheel drive, STOP at the bottom and put your drive in low; then, keep a steady pressure on the gas as you go up.) We had plumbing problems in one bathroom but Iâm sure that will be fixed before the next rental. Also, the swing thatâs shown in the photos should be removed as it is not secure. Overall, we liked Little Bear Lodge and would consider staying there again.
We were a little nervous of the steep driveway because of other comments but I drive an F-250 and had no problems. If you're an animal lover, bring a little corn for the deer and they will come! We had several visitors every night.
Cabin was very nice and everythingâs we expected BUT the driveway was never disclosed how steep it was. If we hadnât had 4 wheel drive vehicle we never would have gotten up and then at top there a sharp left turn to flat area. Have to do 4-5 point turn to turn veh around and go down drive at which you can not see driveway until you are half way down do to front of car and steepness. We had a normal size truck Silverado.

This property was so beautiful and clean. Check in and communication was great! Centrally located and near a lot of restaurants, trails and hiking. With it being winter, the leaves were off the trees so there was an excellent view of the mountains. Quiet location and the cabin had everything anyone could need! Furniture and beds comfortable, loved the fireplace and back porch. Definitely highly recommend and will stay here again!!

Directions and check-in instructions were very clear so even though we got in after dark we had no problems getting into the cabin. The cabin was clean and very well kept. Spent the weekend hiking in the mountains and this was a wonderful home to come back to and relax and recharge at!
Very nice two bedroom (including loft). Comfortable and quiet.
The turn off 76 is hard to find. It is less than 200 yards east of 515. Could the county be asked to put up a road sign for Mining Gap Rd? There is none there now.
Secluded, good location to get away but beware the driveway!
Just for my wife and I and fur baby, it was great. Secluded in the woods but close to conveniences. Great screened in porch to enjoy meals. Driveway is steep and when it rains need to back up to house or have 4 wheel drive. AC went out but was promptly repaired.
The cabin was perfect for our needs and closer to town than we thought. Kitchen had everything for cooking and the beds were super comfy. Loved the screened porch for dining too. It was a little musty for us upon arrival (sensitive to smell unfortunately) but there were cleaning supplies and spray we found so we could freshen that up and air out. After that, we were extremely happy đ
Very nice home, but the driveway was a bit difficult
This is a very nice home. It's comfortable and very clean. As far as the home, I would stay again. One thing I would ask of the owner is to maybe recheck your email template and the notice on the side of the fridge. The check out times were confusing. In some places it said 10, some 11. When we texted the check out number on the fridge I got notification back that it was a wrong number (checked it and rechecked it so...) But no big deal. Just need to look in to that. The deal breaker for me sadly is the driveway. We got there Friday evening and it had been raining. The first two attempts at the driveway I couldn't get up and had to back back down. Super scary at night in the rain. Finally made it up. The next day we tried when the driveway was dry and it was still difficult. I have a 2018 Explorer so I never expected to have a problem. Other than that we loved our stay and would recommend this home.
