The cosy cottage living room is decorated in deep shades with colourful furnishings and the wood panelling provides the perfect ambiance for an evening in front of the wood burner enjoying a choice of Sky or Netflix movies. French doors lead through to a sunny kitchen/dining room with access out to the enclosed gardens. A country style dining table sits to one side; here you can gather for a hearty Yorkshire breakfast before heading out to explore the Howardian Hills or come together on an evening for a delicious home cooked evening meal. The shaker style kitchen offers a host of modern appliances, off the central hallway can be found the family shower room which once again does not fail to impress with its bright colours, patterned tiles and gold accessories. Retire on an evening via the cottage stairs to the first floor and find two beautifully designed bedrooms both offering stunning interior design, beautiful soft furnishings and luxury hotel linens. The local public house is just across the road and is much loved by the locals for the great food it serves and the friendly welcome. Opposite this there is also the local café/deli where you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast menu, afternoon tea, coffees and cakes or pick up some delicious holiday essentials including pre-made meals to cook at home. The iconic Castle Howard, famous for Brideshead Revisited and more recently Bridgerton is just a short drive away, offering a packed events programme throughout the year and one of the UK’s best Christmas experiences a visit here should feature on your holiday itinerary. The Yorkshire Arboretum is opposite and provides a stunning backdrop for walking. If you are looking to enjoy great food then visit Malton, the ’foodie’ capital of Yorkshire.
