Tucked away at the base of the Toowoomba Range, Little Oakey is a fully off-grid, eco-friendly tiny home designed for those who want to switch off and soak in the beauty of the natural world, without straying too far from city comforts.
Set beside a wide, open grassy clearing (roughly the size of a small soccer field), the tiny home overlooks a tranquil seasonal creek that flows gently past. It’s the perfect place to enjoy morning coffees to the sound of laughing kookaburras, watch finches and wrens flit through the trees, or listen to the wind moving through the gums. At sunset, the clearing comes alive with golden light, making it a magical backdrop for an evening by the fire.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home. Please avoid opening any gates and stay within the maintained (mowed) areas, creek flats, and along the creek.
The Neighborhood:
Little Oakey by Tiny Away is in Withcott, at the foothills of the Toowoomba Range. It's just a 1 hour and 48-minute drive from Brisbane via Warrego Hwy/A2 and only 16 minutes from Toowoomba City.
Just 4 minutes down the road, you'll find a friendly local YMCA with convenient opening and closing times, open 7 days a week!

- The local Withcott Bakery, "Greedies," is just 4 minutes away and offers delicious pies along with a range of savory and sweet treats.
- The Carnival of Flowers in September attracts visitors from across the country, doubling the town's population as people come to see the stunning local flowers.
- World-class mountain bike tracks are accessible directly from the cabin, leading to Jubilee Park, the proposed location for the 2032 Olympic Games mountain bike events.
- A short drive away is the highly rated hike up "Table Top Mountain", where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Lockyer Valley after trekking through native forest to a grassy summit.

- Please do not open any gates and stay within maintained (mowed) areas, the creek flats, and along the creek only
- For stays over 2 nights, please monitor the toilet cassette. Contact us if it needs replacing earlier than scheduled.
- The cassette toilet requires cleaning and refilling every 2–3 days. For stays over 2 nights, please monitor the fill level and contact us if it needs servicing earlier than scheduled
Pets Policy
- Pets should be kept on lead at all times
- Any damage done by pets shall be payable by the guests
- Please clean up after your dog/cat shedding before checking out
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Always remember not to leave your pets unattended inside or outside the property
- We recommend that you bring your pet's bed, bowl, and basic needs with you during your stay
- Please take note to inform us 24 hrs before arrival, if you plan to bring your pets to our property
- Pets may roam freely if they are well-trained and stay close to the cabin. The area is partly fenced, providing a buffer from the road
Off-grid guidelines
- Save water and turn off the tap or shower when not in use
- Please conserve water as our supply is limited to tank water
- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low-power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
Guest Advisory
- We would like to remind guests that our tiny house follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank.
Important note:
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and keep it clean and fresh for all guests. For stays of 3 nights or more with two guests, please monitor the toilet level. Contact us by call or text if you think it is getting full, so we can empty it before it overflows. We appreciate your understanding.
