Herbergen in Windermere

'We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there'

'Many trafic a lot of noise'

'De ligging was uniek en zeer gemakkelijk om van daaruit diverse interessante plaatsen te bereiken.'

'All the staff we met were great, cheerfull helpfull and polite. The room was clean and comfortable and what one expects in a very old building. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons the shower only worked on the large head and the food choices were very limited both in the restaurant and at breakfast. No salads and limited vegetables in restaurant. No fruit or cereal at breakfast. The hotel is remote which is part of it's appeal for us so going out in the evening is not an option,I would have struggled...

'Fantastic location and friendly staff. Wonderful cooked breakfast. Great choice of local beer.'

'Close to the train station.'

'I so want this place to succeed! It’s in the most picturesque village, but needs some TLC after a string of management changes. New team comes in August. The bedrooms are clean, small, very comfortable and well designed. Current staff are lovely, but they’re leaving in 2 weeks.'

'Great Inn with huge breakfast; also excellent dinner options!'

'Lovely clean room & the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The only thing to note was I had to ask for towels, because none were left out, but other than that we had a very lovely stay here and would definitely come back. Breakfast was fantastic, can't say anything negative about this place, it was a great over night stay. Thanks very much!'

'Staff very welcoming. Food really nice and very filling. Perfect stay for us. Thankyou'
