Stayed for 3 days. Hotel is in need of updating! Pool borders need cleaning! Plastic chairs in garden need replacing! Cushions should be replaced! Staf in the morning in main restaurant not over friendly! the only Good place is ‘Fishery’ , food beautifully Cooked and very tasty, manager and staff of Fishery very friendly and helpful

Heerlijk
We verbleven een aantal nachten in het hotel als onderdeel van een startpakket Sri Lanka. Fijn om zo dicht bij het vliegveld een paar dagen te ontspannen in een mooi strandhotel alvorens te gaan rondtrekken. Je bent op het hotel zelf aangewezen, maar dat geeft niet voor een paar dagen. In Wattala is niets te doen. Wat wel leuk is om te doen is een wandeling langs het Dutch Canal op loopafstand (paar minuten) van het hotel; je kunt op de terugweg langs de weg nog een mooie kerk bekijken. Er zijn veel kerken, want de bevolking langs de kust is vooral katholiek. Bij het hotel is een goed a la carte restaurant. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Vanuit het hotel is het interessant om met een taxi naar Colombo te gaan (10 min.), dan heb je dat ook gezien en hoef je er verder niet naar toe. In een paar uurtjes laat de chauffeur je alles zien wat nodig is en heb je een indruk van de stad. Na Wattala zijn we zelf twee weken gaan rondreizen. Heerlijk!

The property was near the beach and has a walking path. Almost all the hotel staff and at the front desk were nice. The choice of dishes at the buffet were excellent. Most of them were delicious. And the staff at the restaurant were very obliging. My husband is a vegan. He had lots of choices and was very happy. But some at the front desk were not very helpful. Check-in were very quick and pleasant. When we wanted a hire a car to a certain time the staff didn’t do anything an then said no car available. And didn’t do anything. We managed to get a car which came to drop passenger at the it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the beachside property with a lovely walking path. The hotel staff, especially at the front desk, were generally nice. The buffet offered excellent dishes, most of which were delicious. Restaurant staff were accommodating, making your husband's vegan choices plentiful. However, we are sorry to hear about a few issues. some front desk staff were unhelpful, and there was a hiccup with car hire. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The staff are friendly and polite. The brrakfast, lunch and buffet is good however can do with few more options. Wifi was a big issue and wifi router had to be installed as there were issues with public wifi. The in room dinning service and house keeping was hit and miss sevice wise. Hotel is not easily accessible and Uber and other hire vehicles do not often accept rides. There is no travel desk and minimum help to find cars for hire. In room dining service is very slow. Service that is promised in 15 minutes could get delayed by 60 minutes or more. The building needs a new coat of paint. Staff provide very odd reasons for declining requests and are not accomodating. Food is decent. Pretty yard. Beach is accesdible.

I have stayed at this property few times prior to COVID and financial crises. The staff is the same friendly, professional, courteous group who is so focused on excellent customer experience. The location is 15min to downtown Colombo and 5min to Wattala junction.

Friendly courteous and pleasant staff. Morning breakfast is fabulous. If i had to pick a fault it would be that the hotel needs a good paint job and some of the toilet fittings need a upgrading. The sraff wirk really hard for their money specially the young man on level 3 room service. I thing he needs a raise.

Härligt avkopplande dagar
In och utcheckning tog väldigt lång tid och kan absolut förbättras genom att ha en separat disk för lunch och middagsgäster som nu hela tiden kom in under tiden och avbröt processen. Restaurangenerna, städningen och övriga servicen var mycket bra.

Great place for a couple nights
Nice place - good food, kids enjoyed the pool, and away from the chaos of Colombo. Rooms were nothing fancy and a little dated, but worked fine for our family. Staff was great and very accommodating.

Not a place for relaxing
Came for a recovery stay to get over our night flight and jet lag before seeing the rest of the country. The hotel rented out the pool and the area next to it to a school group so it wasn’t possible to relax and have a quiet day by the pool. The kids started coming onto our private balcony and looking into our room in the morning. Not a nice experience for a rest stay. Also you couldn’t go on the beach and have a nice walk because there were men as soon as you stepped off the hotel property trying to sell you taxis and whatever else they could think of. Just not a good start to a holiday really. Fish restaurant was good though!

Tolles Hotel mit köstlichem Dinner-Bufett
Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war sehr angenehmen. Besonders das Dinner-Bufett können wir empfehlen. Zwar kein Schnäppchen, aber es gibt eine riesige Auswahl an leckeren Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichten und Desserts. Der Strand ist direkt am Hotel und wunderschön. Der Pool ist ebenfalls in gutem Zustand. Lediglich der Vorab-Service per Email gestaltete sich schwierig. Das Hotel bot uns gegen geringe Gebühr einen Flughafen-Abholservice an. Das Angebot haben wir gerne angenommen, jedoch war der Kontakt danach äußerst beschwerlich, so dass wir nach mehrmaligem Hin und Her letztlich einfach per Taxi gefahren sind. Fazit: Tolles Hotel für kleines Budget, welches in dieser Preisklasse wirklich überraschend gut ist. Lediglich den Flughafen-Transfer sollte man selbst organisieren ;)

Staff where friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and gardens wel kept. The lap pool is very clean ( its not a resort type pool). There really isnt much at all nearby, its quite isolated. The breakfast is not good. Plenty of food choices not done particularily well. We used this hotlel at the end of our 14 hour journey to get a good nights recovery sleep - which its good for.

Excellent hotel 4 times I have now stayed here with no issues very happy with all staff, they no me well now and I will be back in June

Great value for money
Hi very enjoyable stay with excellent service especially from Gayan Wakishta F&B Manager who looked after my elderly parents every need. All the staff in the restaurant were very attentive and customer orientated. Will certainly come again. Live music on some of the evenings as well as pianist in the foyer made this a very enjoyable break for me. With views of the Colombo Skyline from the beach this was truly an enjoyable stay.

Bon accueil avec un personnel sympa Bonne restauration avec du choix Chambre propore Concernant les deux environs rien de particulier à voir ou à faire. Hôtel sympa pour se reposer à l’arrivé.

Mukava hotelli hieman syrjässä
Mukava ja siisti hotelli. Allasalue melko pieni. Syrjässä keskustassa, mutta liikenteen melu ei kuulu. Aamupalalla tarjolla paljon paikallisia ruokia.
