On the voldersgracht as a possible location for the painting The street by Vermeer is by several art historians speculated. The Inn of Vermeer's father stood between the market and the voldersgracht, so Vermeer must have been familiar with that view. By the way, are located in Delft more locations over which such theories exist. Also the building of the St. Lucas Guild where Vermeer attached to it was, stood at the voldersgracht.
