'The Kirana Tembok is situated on a very nice spot at the beach. We (2 pax) stayed 7 nights at the very large family house (payed upfrade) which is very nice. The resort has a very nice garden. Kitchen is adequate but not very special. Pool is superb. We need to mention that on the fourth night we had a problem with little biting insects in our bed. Not nice at all (lot of bites) and we moved to another bedroom in the middle of the night. Told the staff next morning and they reacted efficiently...

'It was a very nice stay. Simple arrangement yet comfortable (especially big comfy bed). Possible to get good food, order taxis, organise a trek to Batur volcano, hot springs. Basically right at the starting point for the trek to Batur. Nice people too!'

It also has a restaurant in the hotel so while there's not many restaurants nearby, at least you can order food at the hotel. Also the room and hotel were just absolutely beautiful! 'The place is a beautiful setting and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fair, they were tons of flies. The biggest drawback is the lousy road full of potholes and only one lane leading up from the main road. Unfortunately my weather was not be best but imagine the view to be spectacular in good weather. Worth a visit.'
