We could not be more pleased. The cabin and location are beautiful. The place was in excellent condition. The road up the mountain was well kept. The gas grill was clean and functioned well. Overall it was an absolutely amazing stay.

Mountain work/retreat

I was visiting to attend a class to assist with teaching at the local community college. Location is great with being near the college, although the drive to location is tight and narrow on the road. Enjoyed winding down with family at the end of the day. The only thing that I have to complain about is taking your own trash to the landfill, I found that stressful with making sure it was taken off and the location employees at the landfill had issues with me dumping trash not being a resident, That’s not something anyone wants to worry about while on vacation or leaving with trash loaded in a vehicle. That would be the only thing I’d change is garbage situation. Bedroom downstairs is lacking tv and that was different. Great stay and enjoyed the place so much.

Graduation weekend!

Our daughter graduated from WCU, so wanted to spend the weekend. This location was close enough to still have privacy. We had access to restaurants for pick-up orders and a spacious kitchen for cooking. Plus, extended family had plenty of room to stop in for some great family time. This rental had exactly what we were looking for.

Great little home.

Getting to the property is a bit of a challenge, narrow drive up a steep gravel incline. The cabin was awesome, very clean and well furnished. The only thing I would complain about and it's nothing the host can do about it is the loud constant highway noise from the highway below while trying to relax on the front porch

Mountain get away

Overall we had a great stay! Kitchen was nicely stocked with what we needed to cook. Beds were comfortable. The house was homey and very quiet and cozy. It felt like a home. We stayed busy checking out the area but when we were at the house it was very relaxing.

The house was exactly as listed and in the pictures. We were delighted when we arrived and saw a little Christmas tree. The decor is an interesting collection of furniture and art and very cozy.

A wonderful home away from home.

This was the cleanest rental we ever stayed in. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and clean. The house was spacious, even the bathrooms. The driveway can be tricky, but so worth it. The property is secluded and has an amazing view. Its convenient to Sylva and WCU. The only con is that they ask you to bring your trash and recycleables to the waste center on 441. Its closed on Sundays, so you'll need to find another dumpster if you check out on a Sunday. We can't wait to return!

Loved the home but had some problems

I really loved the home. But the notification of “how” vacasa wanted us to leave the home arrived AFTER our departure. Would have been great to know that vacasa wanted us to strip the beds and leave dishwasher running Another problem was the removal of trash. Vacasa should be responsible for that with what was charged. At the minimum I should have been told WHERE I could go to dump trash!!

Disgusted how this was handled with the catastrophic flooding. 30 days to rebook a vacation that was planned a year ago. Numerous owners/agencies immediately refunded people’s money, but not Vacasa! Absolutely disgusting!

Mountain Getaway

Very Clean, well appointed, appliances worked, bed was comfortable, GPS and directions accurate. Remote, quiet (except for faint traffic noise) lots of birdsongs and Mountain views. Highly recommend it if you desire a quiet getaway. (About 10 miles from downtown Sylva on steep gravel road. I strongly suggest arriving in daylight).
