Within a half-hour’s drive, we were able to explore the northern and central regions of the National Park. The owner was incredibly responsive to our questions and provided quick answers. 'Perfect location and setting for our trip to HITS Commonwealth Park! The house is lovely and well-stocked with everything you could imagine you'd need, and the host is extremely responsive. Looking forward to our next visit!'

'A train came past the house at 7am in the morning. There is no mention of early morning train activity in the description. The mattresses were extremely soft and the blankets were very thin…so we were chilly. The house is beautiful…just these details are something to consider.'

'Don's home is spacious, clean, comfortable, well stocked, organized, and peaceful. The porch boasts a beautiful view of the Shenandoah mountains. We stayed with 8 adults for a retreat and had a beautiful time. Despite the horrible July heat, we felt cool enough inside the home and even on the screened in porches (they had fans!). There were two great living rooms for conversations and connection. The kitchens were big enough to cook all of our meals. The beds were so comfortable and 3 bathrooms...

'We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at this cottage. There was plenty of space for several adults who stayed with us for the weekend. Plentiful bedding towels and all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked to cook and bake for various of meals. We had fun relaxing under the arbor of wisteria and at the firepit. Deer, turkey, and a groundhog were plentiful to see as they wandered around the adjacent farm. It is very quiet and yet so close to town. Very convenient for local sites,...
