'Old and very tired, in need of refurbishment. Three main things define a quality room - Plumbing, Pillows and Aircon, FAIL on all 3. You can hear other people's plumbing running. The pillows are thin cheap ones probably bought from Coles and the aircon was ineffective. Had to set it to 17C and flat out to even get the room down to a temperature where I wasn't sweating. Hardly slept and won't ever stay here again!'

'Hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Stayed in the deluxe king ocean and the view was incredible! The rooms were clean, the staff were nice and the amenities were so well maintained.
Highly highly highly recommend if you are coming to the Gold Coast since it is right by the beach and walkable to a lot of places! Will come back for sure!'

'We had an amazing one night stay at the Polish Place. The cabin was exactly as expected and had everything we needed. The only difficulty we had was check in. We are traveling internationally and needed WiFi to get updates as no one was at reception at 2:00 pm. Luckily a local winery saved the day with WiFi and the trip was smooth after that. Would definitely stay here again!'

'I will not recommend Harbour Quay Apt.. Their communication is so poor. We stayed for my daughter's Volleyball tournament. Not able to take photos on our checknin and check out. We paid our bond and without telling us about the damage and after 11 days informing us they will not make a refund. It took me 11th day to follow-up as refund is 7 banking days excluding weekends. They don't even provide proofs. It is really frustrating as we hardly stay to the apartment as the whole day we're at...

'I've stayed there a couple of time now. Positive experience. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. I'd certainly stay there again.
A couple of very minor things...
1. The toilet roll holder in the room was a bit loose.
2. The underground car park was closed one night when I arrived back at about 7pm. The concierge did offer to open it up for me, but I'd already parked elsewhere.
3. On our last night no hand towels or bath mats were provided but I did get an extra towel.'
