  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years.   • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

The cabin was beautiful and just like the pictures show. The location is very peaceful and the cabin was clean and well prepared for our stay. I would definitely recommend and go again!

I really wanted to like this rental, but I don’t feel I can recommend it. Upstairs bathroom: no blinds on windows, bathmat had holes & tub had something over the drain that left standing water before anyone used it. Laundry: washer was unplugged & the water turned off. Found out that’s bc it doesn’t work. After we washed our clothes in the tub we put them in the dryer, but after 3 hours they were still soaking, so that’s broken too. Kitchen: trashcan is broken & missing lid. Dishwasher not attached to counter, so when you roll out the drawer full of dishes, the whole thing tips forward. The bottom drawer is also missing a roller, so it wobbles. Dishes were dirty, so we pre-washed everything. One of the dining room chairs had a leg repaired, but it was still loose & we felt it’d break if we used it. Upstairs smoke alarm is dangling from the wall. The coffee table in the living room wobbles, both directions. We stopped putting mugs on it because we spilled things a couple times. There were cobwebs everywhere. Spiders all over the stairway to the basement. Dead bugs on the windowsills, & an old nose strip stuck to a windowsill. The bottom 2 stairs in the house are different heights. The top porch step has a spindle stuck on it, making it dangerous to walk on. Texted the after hours line, but no response.Layout is nice. Hot tub was wonderful. Location ideal. Grounds beautiful. But without allThe issues, not worth the price.

This cabin was a very relaxing getaway. The neighbors are not close enough to see through the trees and everybody is pretty quiet. The hot tub was farther away from the house than we thought from the pictures in the listing, but it was very clean and secluded. My only “negatives” that aren’t really negative is that 1. the hiking trails are not well marked any longer. There are big trees down everywhere that either block the trail or block the view of the marked trees along the trail. 2. The boardwalk to the front porch is falling apart and becoming a tripping hazard. Overall this is a lovely cabin and I can finally tell people I’ve used a bidet

Nice cabin. Needs a little maintenance. Handrail on upper deck needs screwed to the wall. Gutters need cleaned out. Could use appropriate lighting in the kitchen. Other than that it’s a pretty nice cabin on a beautiful property.

Memorial Day stay

Great stay for a family. Lots of room to have privacy but still enjoy each other. Good location, feels like you are deep in the woods but in reality you are not… surprisingly you are super close to the conveniences of a small city just a few miles away. Also, close to anything you could want to do in Red River Gorge area. Great kitchen to cook in if you have too and basic amenities to use!

Girls trip

Great place for a friend's trip in the gorge! Our biggest complaint was that the fire pit is on a major slope which makes for an uncomfortable bonfire situation, it's hard to relax while sitting at an angle. But the cabin was great and clean, the hot tub was clean and relaxing. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Check in was very easy.

House is great. Location easy to find. Everything in the house was easy to find and we needed nothing extra. The bed was comfortable in the first-floor room and the bathroom was very nice. Very quiet and secluded. The hot tub worked great and was easy to use. Only real issue was the paperwork included that explains the use of the TV, etc. Very dated. It goes through how to connect to the Satellite for viewing and after about 30 minutes trying to use the various remotes to try and connect, I finally went outside to look for the dish and there wasn't one. Someone needs to update all the paperwork in the book. It should say that the tv is only used via apps and internet, which is fine, but get rid of the now useless information in the folder.After those first 30 minutes we had a great visit and would definitely return.

Girls Getaway

Spent very relaxing getaway with my 2 friends. Cabin was well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked with items (even a crock pot!). Hosts instructions were clear, and helped us have a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Lovely RRG Cabin

Great cabin! Clean, with a well-supplied kitchen. Comfortable arrangements. The property itself was nice, though we didn’t spend time outside in the actually property. The hot tub was very adequate for a rental.

The grounds were beautiful, although there was a strong sewage odor near the fire pit. Septic field may need to be checked out. The cabin itself was lovely but it could use wall mounted hair dryers in the bathrooms. We did have to hunt down our towels and finally found them in the dryer. Great location to experience the gorge and all it has to offer.

Weekend Getaway

A group of friends and I stayed at this property late July 2024. Overall, the location was incredibly private and peaceful but also convenient. The cabin itself was very well maintained. There were only a few minor cleanliness issues, such as the basement and some debris in the closets. The check-in and out procedures were very straightforward and simple. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a convenient, private location for a small group. Internet also worked well.
