Farm House Getaway

It's a sanctuary, a place of peaceful retreat for the whole family! Come for a family retreat, camping adventure, or just a quiet getaway. Located in beautiful farmland with a 10 minute drive from groceries and restaurants. This 5 bedroom farm house is ideal for any large family or large gathering. Some amenities include 2 televisions, 8 comfortable beds, foosball table, pool table, and game table.

Our 160+ acre farm includes ample space to hike or camp, with three ponds.

The space
The spacious house is for guests only and is ideal for entertaining. There are 2 living rooms and a study. Two full bathrooms and large farm-style table and a eat-in island in the kitchen. Guests can also dine on the backyard patio. Help yourself to the grapes on the vine, the figs on the trees, and any persimmons, blackberries, and maypops you find during your hikes.

Bedrooms
Bedrooms one and two are located on the main floor and handicap accessible. Bedrooms 3-5 are located on the second floor all accessible through a central living room with pool table and TV.

Location
Located conveniently at the midpoint between Richmond VA and Raleigh NC, 15 minutes off of Interstate 85.

Kitchen & Dining
Our kitchen is fully equipped and ready to make anything from a basic breakfast to a thanksgiving feast. This includes an abundance of cookware (pots and pans), mixing bowls, cutting boards, knife set, and many other kitchen accessories. The kitchen has a large fridge, dish washer, oven/range, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster.

Grill
There is no charge if you wish to use the grill, just please remember to shut off the propane and clean the grates after use. Grilling utensils are provided. Please contact us if you plan to use the grill so that we can ensure that the propane tank is full.

Guest access
The entire first floor is handicap accessible. You will enjoy access to all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living rooms, study, game room, patio, and 7 acres of yard. The farm is open for exploring, however it is a working farm, so please stay out of the crop areas, barns, and away from the livestock.

Bathrooms:
Bathrooms are equipped with towels, washcloths, hand-soaps, and starter supplies of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Additionally, each bathroom has hairdryers. Both bathrooms have a tub and shower.

Other Amenities:
Iron & Ironing Board, Pack-and-Play style mobile crib, board games. Washer and dryer are located in the basement.

Other things to note
Farm hands, landscape crews, and maintenance technicians will likely need to be on the property at some point during your stay. They will NEVER need to enter the interior of the home without us letting you know in advance and rarely come within 50 yards of the house.
