« The location was good, nestled in the moor in a small village, complete with shop, river and old bridge: very Devon! We wish that we could say that the pub food in our Inn was good; it wasn't. Overpriced, bland and in the case of the vegetables, undercooked even beyond a fashionable crunch. 'Raw' comes to mind. The pub public areas were shut at 9pm and the staff went home. « We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...
