'Checking in didn't go smooth, because I stood in front of closed gate for 15 minutes. But from then on, the very friendly staff made me feel at home. Only other downside is that there is no public transportation nearby. And taxi drivers will try to shake you down. But that's not the fault of the B&B.'

'The Fiji Orchid is a lovely relaxed hotel with 6 villas tucked amongst lush greens. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful. There is no useable beach nearby and you need a vehicle to go anywhere off the property but it’s near 2 towns and several attractions. There is always someone available to drive you. It’s very convenient to the airport so it’s a good choice for a few nights on the big island. '

'We arrived on the last boat so it was dark and I couldn't fully grasp the resort and its layout. Thankfully the light of day made it so much better. The pool is large and warm and never over crowded. Its more of a grownup resort as the one next door caters to families. The air con in the rooms does its job but make sure you keep your wooden blinds closed! There aren't any glass on windows just screens and wooden slats. Garden bure was spacious and cleaned daily.
