« Very peaceful place only 2.5 miles from Luray. Everything you need to cook a meal, a very comfortable bed, and a great view. I will most likely stay here again when I travel this way in the future. »

« Overall the stay was great the beds could have been more comfortable. I woke up a few time sweating due to the mattress cover.when we walked down to the river there was a bunch of broken glass from beer bottles it looks like. We cleaned it up. Wonderful cottage though. »

« A real cute place with a cozy layout and amazing bathroom and shower. It was just secluded enough but not overly challenging to get to. The upper porch was great for hanging out and watching the pair of hummingbirds that seem to have made the area home. The bed was comfortable but also a little squeaky and noisy. We really enjoyed our stay and it was just the relaxing getaway we needed. »

« Gorgeous, peaceful setting in the middle of nowhere, which is exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to get away from it all, and Maria and Randy provided that opportunity. The house has been renovated beautifully, and someone has some great taste! I love all the green tones, wood, brick, and...oh, the velvet!Although the house is wonderful, including a full-stocked, high-end kitchen, I admit that I most sitting by the river and playing Frisbee with my family, as well as my solo strolls...

« We had a relaxing time in Dolly’s spacious and cute cottage! A great property w plenty of inside and outside space to gather yet still be separate if desired. The communication and information provided prior to arriving is the best we’ve experienced w/any VRBO. Tv, WiFi and hot tub all functioned well. Good night sleep was had by all and beds were comfy! « This was our fourth trip to the river house. This time we went to celebrate my granddaughter who turned 13 and my daughter who turned 30. It was a wonderful week full of fun, adventure, hiking, swimming/playing in the river, s’mores, food and games. This is the absolute best place in the world for quality family time. « Stayed in Salem right outside of Ranoke for the USA finals National Mnt Biking races for 2025. Location was quiet, clean, modern, nice small cottage set up for family of 4. Good sized front yard area for yard games. Beautiful rose bushes on side of house that had lots of birds and bees visit. « Lovely little cottage with a variety of goats, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks. Kim offered two bags of feed to hand out to the animals. Wifey and daughter loved it. Kim and husband were very responsive to our communications. We didn’t take in much of the area, we traveled for business. Nice mall and restaurants within driving distance, Roanoke about 15-20 minutes away. Overall it was a nice, cozy stay. »

« Loved staying at the Birds and Bees Cottage. It was so peaceful waking up each day, sitting on the porch and enjoying the views of the farm. This cottage was the perfect spot to unwind after visiting some local wineries. It was quiet and very easy to relax on the porch with a good book in the evening. Hope to return in the fall. »
