« Great location if you want somewhere quiet away from the crowds. That said it is within a short drive of Ventnor, Shanklin, Godshill and Sandown. The outside space of the cottage is limited to a courtyard at the side of the property. If you have a big car you might find the driveway a little on the short side - that said we did manage to fit two cars side by side ( a Niro and a Panda). « Had a great stay here. Bonus was the entertainer in the bar area (Jules). Comfy sitting areas around hotel. Bed and pillows comfy with good hot water in shower. Staff were also excellent and very helpful. »

« Overall The Good Ships is a spacious, clean accommodation in a great place for easy access to the seafront and beach in Shanklin.It’s is let down however by some of the amenities provided, which is such a shame. The kitchen requires additional pans and general facilities. 2 x saucepans is not sufficient, a large frying pan and large casserole dish.The fridge is a large American style with water and ice dispenser of which neither of the work.The TV is old and needs updating, not being a smart TV...
