The character of The Rourk House is found in the details. Each room has been thoughtfully arranged with its own combination of wallpaper, furnishings, antiques, photographs, rugs, lighting, and décor rather than repeating the same design throughout the home.

Original wood floors, historic photographs, and preserved family touches—including an image of Dr. Rourk's wife—offer glimpses into the people and history connected to the house.

Historic fireplaces remain as beautiful architectural features throughout the home. All fireplaces are decorative only and are NOT available for guest use.

🛋️ PARLOR & LIBRARY

The main parlor provides a welcoming place to gather with a sofa, smaller settee, multiple sitting chairs, lamps, area rug, antiques, photographs, and a decorative historic fireplace.

The library offers another cozy space with a sofa, two sitting chairs, rocking chair, books, antiques, wood floors, and an area rug. It's an inviting spot for reading, conversation, puzzles, or a quiet cup of coffee.

Two portable Smart TVs are available for streaming when desired, but much of this home's charm comes from spaces designed for conversation, reading, games, and time together.

🍽️ KITCHEN & DINING

The separate dining room features a table with seating for 4 beneath a chandelier.

The kitchen includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, wooden cabinetry and countertops, and thoughtfully selected light fixtures.

An additional dining area near the kitchen features a table surrounded by comfortable wraparound bench seating—an especially cozy spot for breakfast, coffee, cards, or conversation.

🛏️ SUITE MAGNOLIA — FIRST FLOOR

The first-floor primary bedroom, Suite Magnolia, features a King bed and the convenience of TWO private full bathrooms.

One private bathroom includes a walk-in shower, while the second features a tub/shower combination.

Suite Magnolia also connects to its own small sitting area with a cozy couch, table, and lamp. This space provides backyard access and connects toward the laundry and kitchen areas.

A separate full bathroom off the first-floor hallway features a beautiful clawfoot tub with shower.

🛏️ SECOND FLOOR

Upstairs you'll find three individually styled bedrooms featuring thoughtfully selected wallpapers, antiques, photographs, and furnishings.

🌤️ SOUTHERN FRONT PORCH

The covered front porch is one of those places that practically asks you to slow down for a while.

Beneath its traditional blue Haint ceiling, you'll find a loveseat-style sofa, two chairs with a table, plus an additional pair of metal chairs and metal table. Bring out your morning coffee, settle in with a book, or spend the evening talking long after you meant to go inside.

🌳 OUTDOOR SPACE

Mature trees frame the home's spacious open lawn, giving guests additional room to enjoy the property outside.

A gas grill is provided, with a couple of chairs near the grilling area. Please note that the yard is not fenced.

Guests can access the backyard through the rear of the kitchen or from the sitting area connected to Suite Magnolia.

Approved pets are welcome at The Rourk House. Advance notification and approval are required. Guests planning to bring a pet should contact the property manager prior to booking for additional information and requirements.

Pets left unattended must be crated and may not be left outside unattended. Guests are responsible for additional cleaning or damage caused by pets.

🔥 GAS GRILL

A gas grill is provided. Propane is not supplied. Guests may bring their own propane tank or arrange propane delivery after booking through available guest services.

• Maximum occupancy: 10 guests
• Maximum parking: 5 vehicles
• Primary renter must be at least 25 years old unless prior approval is received
• Smoking, vaping, and recreational drug use are not permitted
• Historic fireplaces are decorative only and may NOT be used
• Fire pits, fireworks, and deep fryers are prohibited
• The yard is not fenced

• Beach chairs, wagons, umbrellas, and other beach gear are not provided
• Pack 'n Play and high chair are not provided
• Starter household and toiletry supplies are provided but are not intended to last for the entire stay
• Fresh linens and bath towels are provided, and beds are made prior to arrival
