August is one of our favorite times in the Smoky Mountains. The days are still perfect for hiking, Dollywood, and exploring Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but the evenings become cooler, making it the perfect time to relax on the deck, soak in the hot tub, and enjoy the peaceful mountain views.





One of the biggest surprises this summer has been a local mama black bear and her four cubs, who have made frequent appearances near the cabin. While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, it's not uncommon to spot black bears, deer, wild turkeys, and other native wildlife during your stay.
