Whaley Room and Board is a completely renovated farmhouse located minutes from the Sevierville Convention Center, Wilderness at the Smokies, and the new Soaky Mountain Waterpark. This home has a very unique story. The previous owner's were Dolly Parton's Aunt and Uncle. Dolly would go to her Aunt and Uncle's home after school and record in the soundproof upstairs bedroom. You will find Dolly folk art throughout the farmhouse and the memories she made there live on.

Check-in was so easy. If I had any questions Amy was quick to reply back to me. The home was wonderful. Several of my family hated to leave. The road in front of the house was a very traveled road but that didn’t take away from the peaceful place. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Farmhouse

Everyone fell in love with the house, it was beautiful. It was 14 total who stayed in the house, still was comfortable and had enough space. House had everything we needed. We had our wedding in the yard it was perfect. Neighbors were very nice.

Great space for our reunion.

Had 9 friends all getting together and we had enough space so only two sets had to share rooms. Each room had it's own fan which was nice, we were worried about the heat but it was a cold time to visit. TV's in many rooms was nice as well even if we didn't use them. Glad to have the washer/dryer. Kitchen is well stocked. Appreciated all the table space for our uses, including the second little dining area. I enjoyed that the property was away from the chaos of PF and Gatlinburg etc. View was pretty and we did use the firepit for smores! Host answered emails in a timely manner.

A PERFECT STAY

Wow! This place is stunning! We stayed October 5-7, 2024 and held our wedding reception there. We could not have asked for a better place! It was very roomy and so so clean. I cannot say enough about how perfect the Whaley Farmhouse is. The communication with Amy was spectacular. The Whaleys are true super hosts! Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our love there!

Beautiful place!

My family, close friends, and I all came up here for my pre wedding “Bach” trip. As soon as we pulled in we loved it. The house is gorgeous! The host was very responsive as well and came within a few minutes of us asking for the trash to be taken when it got full. They also provided a variety of useful items (plates, mugs, coffee, etc..). Everything was also very clean and comfortable. Overall we had such a great stay and would absolutely recommend it/come back again!

Fabulous Stay

There were 15 of us, all ages, staying for five nights. We had a fantastic time. The property was beautiful and so clean. The owners were prompt in replying to questions. It was a great distance to all the attractions. I can't recommend this place enough!

Beautiful House and Great Outdoor Space

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Whaley House for a family reunion/grad party. The house itself is beautiful and charming. A unique layout with plenty of rooms and space for everyone. The front porch rocking chairs were a hit. It rained a few times during our stay and we enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and watching/listening to it rain. My favorite part though, was the yard and the beautiful landscape behind the house. There is a flat area that was perfect for the party where we were able to set up a tent and chairs. Beyond the yard there are horses and pond off in the distance. The horses will sometimes walk right up to the fence that borders the property to say hi! At night time there is a peaceful ambience that was so relaxing I kept finding myself outside just listening to all the sounds. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a farmhouse charm and a peaceful country atmosphere.

Beautiful Home

This is a beautiful property. Very clean and well kept. All the charm of a Farmhouse. We had a few challenges with small children, nothing major tho, a road near by and rolling landscape but we are flat landers so we are just not used to it, overall it was a great place for a family vacation. Highly recommend.
