The location of the property is the best part of it! As guests who had to fly to this destination, there are things that would have been nice to know when thinking of packing space. The rental provides a welcome packet that has a small soap bottle and sponge (wonderful! but wouldn't have packed them had we known.) The rental only comes with 1 roll of toilet paper (different from any others we have stayed in). There was not only 1 but 2 blow dryers (again wouldn't have packed one). The 2nd bed is a sofa bed upstairs but there are no curtains on any of the windows which doesn't work well with kids. The listing says there's access to the public pool but there is hardly any information on it, where it is located, etc. And our passes weren't even in the rental, we had to call and wait for them to be delivered. Location is hard to beat and just wish there was better communcation.
The excellent location almost supersedes the need for furnishing updates at this property. The mattress is very soft, as previous reviews have mentioned, but itâs soft in that there are two very deep indentions that make it incredibly uncomfortable and feel very old to the point we slept on top of the provided covers using our own bedding. While the house is very clean on the surface, the air vents are in need of a good scrub. The property manager was very responsive, but we had issues with the key box that may have been of our own making but were very difficult to resolve. Overall, we will happily stay here again and again but only once the mattress is replaced.
The little cottage met our needs! Cute and clean; very minimal of course. Could turn this into 5 star review with better beds, bedding and pillows. Benchmark was more like a 2/5 stars as they have a policy not to deliver additional blankets or pillows, which we needed with our infant. Additionally, we extended our stay but they forgot to extend our code.
Very close to the center of Seaside. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Just know that it is tiny. Once you open your suitcase there isnât much room to walk around your bed.
The only complaint I have is that there were no beach towels. Every beach house I have rented has had them. We flew. Beach towels take up a lot of space in a suitcase. Had to go buy towels.
My family and I enjoyed the house , it has everything you need for your stay and it was well maintained. Conveniently located, walk 2 minutes and you are at the beach which we enjoyed every day!! A lot of options for food and snacks without driving. We had a great 4th of July weekend!!
Great Location but No Internet Connection & Construction Noise
Walkable to Seaside Center - Great location....
I didn't have an internet connection during my stay (4 nights & 5 days). Be aware of construction noise next door.
Great property with a perfect location, everything is walkable - the seaside shops, the beach, restaurants. You just park your car and get around easily on foot. It's small and quaint, is perfect for 2 and has everything you need for a comfortable getaway.
This is a cute cottage. However, when we arrived parking was tricky. The property address is on Tupelo, but canât be accessed unless you park on the private drive which is a street over. This wouldnât have been a big problem except for the fact that I drive a large SUV and there is a terrible layout for parking. If anyone would have been parked next door we would have been stuck because I wouldnât have been able to get my vehicle out other than to back out onto 30a and cross the pedestrian sidewalk with no visibility (plants/trees/houses). Second, when we arrived, our code did not work on the door. It had to be reset remotely. Then, the code to the beach pavilion gate did not work. They gave me another code, which worked that evening but was not working the following morning. Very inconvenient when youâre carrying beach gear for 3 in 90 degree weather. The last thing Iâd have to say is that if you are planning on cooking⊠itâs probably not a good idea. The kitchen is small, which is to be expected. It is very well stocked, but the smoke detector is only a few feet away and just turning the burner on set it off. No smoke. Scared my kids the few times I tried using it. The oven burned the bottom of biscuits and cinnamon rolls after only 1/2 of the recommended cook time which gave us raw food on the inside and burnt bottoms. I am an avid cook at home, so using kitchen equipment is not something new to me. I would suggest planning on dining out if you stay at this property.
Our first visit to Seaside was awesome! We had a great time! Iâve been obsessed with tiny house for years and the house we stayed in was so cute! It was the perfect size, it was clean, and the location was perfect. We were right across the street from the beach pavilion which was so convenient. I really enjoyed being able to walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The only complaints I had were that the parking instructions werenât clear (donât park on Tupelo St, go down the street labeled Rosewalk-Private Drive and you can park right in front of the house), there were no directions to the community pool (but we stayed at the beach most of the time, so that wasnât a huge issue), and the pavilion code in the rental info emails didnât work (we had to text the management company who very promptly gave us the correct code). Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely visit again!
My husband and two kids and I enjoyed our stay. Itâs a small space but we were across the street at the beach or in the Seaside square most of the trip. We loved it. Having access to the private beach was a big bonus.
Perfect location , easy access to the beach and food vendors in town. There was no need for a golf cart. We had a great time! Maintenance was timely and fixed any issues. All in all a great place!
Perfect place for the two of us. Minutes walk to the beach. Close to all shops and restaurants. Private off street parking. Clean and well cared for. Weâll be back!
We love staying at Margarita Days. Second year weâve stayed here. Perfect for 2. Easy access to the beach and all that Seaside has to offer. I definitely recommend this place!
First off the oven didnât work, they gave us a toaster oven. All of the dishes were dirty, and the microwave didnât look like they it was ever cleaned. The bath tub drain had a hard time draining , so we were standing in a foot of dirty water.the mattresses were old and hard. Itâs great walking distance from everything.
We really enjoyed our stay at Seaside, Margarita days was a really beautiful place and a great experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much. From the Elamâs, Palmer Illinois
Super small place, but gives you easy access to the beach and to the town center. Seaside is gorgeous and this little house puts you in the heart of it. It says it is for 4 people, but I think it would be perfect for a couple. We were a family of three and it was pretty tight. We knew that going in though, and went for it anyway. But just want to make sure people know what to expect!
I always wondered what it would be like to live in a tiny house, and after staying at Margarita Days I realised that I don't need so much space. The builders conserved space with built ins well. The location of the house is excellent: just cross the 30A and you are at the beach. It's an easy walk to the town square. The only problem was the parking space. With three houses right by, their cars were parked so that we would get trapped in our space, so we started parking on the street. Our neighbors were very friendly and helpful since they had stayed at the Red House several times. I would stay here again. Be prepared to use paper plates or wash dishes. No dishwasher but lots of dishes, pans, cups, glasses, and flatware.
