Relaxed quiet home away from home!

Tucked away down a long driveway you will find Ridge Haven. A family owned and operated studio apartment on the bottom floor of our home which offers the relaxed quiet home away from home feel. If you don’t fancy visiting the close by cafe’s and restaurants the apartment has all that you need to cater for yourself. Fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and all the necessary kitchen utensils you will require. The studio apartment accommodates up to 4 people comfortably with a queen bed, single bed and fold out sofa bed all in an open plan living area. The kitchen opens out onto a private patio and lawn area with BBQ, seating and hammocks hung from the palm trees in the summer months and views through the Pohutakawa Tree out to sea! Bathroom with shower only and lots off street parking available.
Our beach culture is what we love most about living in Ruakaka. The picturesque beach is surf patrolled during summer months, with safe swimming for young children at the estuary. Other nearby activities include paddle boarding, surfing, fishing, horse treks, coastal walks, golf, markets, museums, restaurants, diving and fishing boat charters and beauty spas. Marsden Cove Marina is 10 minutes away and North Port, Marsden Point Oil Refinery only 7 minutes. Just under 1.5 hours from Auckland City and 20 minutes to Whangarei Ruakaka makes the perfect spot to stop on your travels North or South. The local supermarket and shops are a few minutes’ drive or stroll to the dairy for an ice-cream or the weekend newspaper or cafe for morning coffee.

Our pets – Carlo is our part time dog; he is a big softy and super friendly. Goldie (fluffy/ ginger) and Smokey (grey) our cats are also super friendly and like to sneak into the unit at any opportunity they get! But I ask if you please stop them from entering the unit as we do have guests who are allergic to animals.

Special conditions: On departure and in true kiwi tradition you are expected to wash the dishes and leave the property clean and tidy as found on arrival. Cleaning supplies are provided. $20 linen charge.
