We were here for the 4th of July and found the cabin to be absolutely charming! We watched the sunset in a very clean hot tub while the fireflies blinked around us. The kids were so enchanted. We found the cabin to be very clean as well and our host were beyond welcoming and gracious. They even sent us a Spotify Playlist for the ride up the mountains. One of my other favorite features was the shower. The shower head was so much better than what you typically find in a cabin. There is also a boat ramp 5 minutes away for those that are visiting the lake. The store by the house was closed while we were there but they did still offer ice and firewood. Everything during our stay was perfect and we will be sure to visit this property again.
Four friends shared the cabin during our NC trip to kayak the Nantahala River. The directions to the cabin are helpful, but we still went past the driveway. You can turn into the parking lot of the old general store which is right next to the driveway. Best feature of this very nice property is the view from the back yard area. We loved sitting in the hot tub watching the sun set.It was beautiful. Though daytime temperatures were high, it cooled off in the evening allowing us to use the hot tub. Hot tub was very clean. We found the cabin to be as described. It is comfortable & has nice decor. We enjoyed the living room space for down time. The dining table & space served our needs fine. Kitchen was adequate for our needs We used the oven, which baked our brownies & seems to have accurate thermostat. Bedrooms were nice, beds comfortable.Since we had three bedrooms, one of us slept on the couch. We did use the washer /dryer which is in the 3rd bedroom- worked fine. Highly recommend this property. RIVERS END is a very good local restaurant.
We had a great stay. Everything was neat & clean. The hosts were very friendly & easy to work with. I recommend this property to anyone. Very accessible for older guests or mobility impaired ones. Very private & not a lot of noise.
This was the end of our family vacation. We stayed for two days. And in between rain storms. We explored the Dragon, hiked deep creek falls, White water rafted at NOC. All the while taking in the lush green from the rain, and woodsy scents. Great stay! Thank you for having us!
My family and I were in town for the polar express train ride and I decided to book this location. Itâs 15 mins away from Bryson city and 30 mins from Cherokee. It was a beautiful stay. The view was amazing. There were only a few things that caught my eye, the amount of stink bugs and lady bugs were surprising and a tad unsettling, as we didnât want to take home any bugs. To be expected in a wooded area but definitely not what we were used to. The air units/heaters were a little difficult to operate and the hot tub was confusing as well a few jets didnât work and it kept cutting on and off by itself. I wasnât sure if it had a timer or what. Lastly, I wish there was more security features in the cabin. Being that we were 3 women and a child traveling, it was scary being out there in the dark with only the keypad to lock the door. BUT these items didnât take away from how clean and beautiful the cabin was and I would definitely book again!!!!!! Thank youuuuu
Super impressed by this cabin! The pictures on the putside dont do it justice for what you get on the inside! Beautiful views, very large hottub and easy to access from the main roads. ( no steep mountain driving) We stayed for the weekend with our family of 6 at The Smokey Mountain Railroad which was about 17min away! Highly recommend! to enjoy a ride at Polar Express at the Thtain
This was the perfect getaway for our family vacation to GSMNP. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools necessary to cook. The beds were comfortable providing a good nights sleep after a long day of adventuring. The property was well maintained and the view off the back deck was spectacular. We would absolutely stay here again!
This was a first vacation for the wife and I. We have never rented a cabin before and was nervous when I began the process. The property managers were fantastic to communicate with and super friendly. Made the process a breeze. The cabin was absolutely perfect and the view was outstanding. Will definitely return.
Great cabin, reasonably priced, close to rafting and other water and nature attractions
This little cabin is so cute and comfy; we especially enjoyed reading about the history of the family home! We enjoyed our stay - the AC units works great, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the hot tub was a nice option after a long day on the river, though several of the jets appear to be broken. We'd definitely stay here again! If the owners are interested in recommendations, I would try to embrace nature a bit more for some of your challenges with the property. Try planting native plants to provide a barrier to the weeds creeping up the hill instead of spraying with chemicals. We also noticed a lot of yellow jackets and mosquitoes. Some bat boxes and lavendar or mint would greatly help that! It would be great to harness rain water from the gutters to water beneficial native plants on the property or create a little rock garden. Thank you for a nice weekend in your beautiful cabin!
We just spent 4 days at this beautiful cabin and we were not ready to leave! My husband and I brought our 3 children ages 12-17 and we all enjoyed it. It felt very remote, yet wasn't far off the main road. The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We took full advantage of the hot tub in the evenings and sat out each morning to sip our coffee on the peaceful deck. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. The owners were very responsive and the communication was top-notch. We hope to go back to this beautiful spot someday.
We had a great 4-night stay at Tsali Sunset! While the location is just off the main road and there are a couple cabins nearby, we still felt the middle-of -the-wilderness seclusion we were hoping for! Lots of things to do within a short driving distance as well! The cabin was clean, there were plenty of towels, the kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we would possibly need, and the sunset views were out of this world! The hot tub was absolutely amazing! Super clean, very hot, and working jets (which our last rental did not have)! A couple things to note for prospective renters: third bedroom does not have AC, master bedroom only has dvd player, and afternoon sun shines directly into the living room. I would definitely recommend for a couple or small family (we had myself, my husband, and two 5 year olds).
Location was a bit tricky to find but overall the stay was great. The cabin is furnished with everything you will need and more. Property overall is incredibly clean and scenic. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Tsali Sunset provided the perfect quick getaway for our very busy family. It was absolutely gorgeous from the cabin to the sunsets and the hot tub under the stars at night. Thank you for providing our family with the rest, rejuvenation and reconnection we desperately needed!!! We will be back for sure :)
We gladly give our stay 5/5! Everything we saw in the photos was true or even better in person. We enjoyed the hot tub, the firepit, and the stunning views of both the mountains and the starry skies which were really all our own. All three beds were reported as so comfy and cozy - we all slept great! We did some exploring right on the property, ventured into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, drove over to Asheville, and hit some quaint stores in downtown Bryson City. Heating/AC units were easy to navigate with remotes, Wifi, coffee/Kuerig maker, dishwasher, washer and dryer, TV, and microwave were all working without problems. When we had a question, it was answered very quickly. Not sure why there are so many open dates for this property...we'd absolutely book it again if/when we return (we do extensive research before we invest in a vacation). It's a perfect place to have close access to GSMNP on the peaceful southern edge without staying on the northern-edge-touristy-madness that is Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg! :) Thank you for a great 5 day retreat from reality and the busyness of everyday life!
