After having my messages in the vrbo app ignored for days I had to call the host twice to get them to finally send me the check in information 2 hours before check in. Trash bags were half open and spilling out outside when we arrived. Various items from other visitors were left around the house. On our second day a man knocked on the door saying he also booked the house for the same time as us and the host double booked him.Overall the house was not bad but the communication with the host is very concerning.
Our experience with this property was extremely disappointing. The original reservation was canceled by the host the day we were supposed to check in, while we were already traveling from Florida to North Carolina. We were placed in a replacement property that was completely unfit for guests.The home had serious electrical issues, including lights and outlets that didnât work. The stove was broken, and the linens were used and dirtyâwe had to wash them ourselves. There was dust everywhere, food under the furniture, and broken fixtures throughout the house. The deck was unsafe, with unstable boards and loose railing. There were not enough clean towels or beds, and the entire space was in unsanitary condition.When we tried to communicate with the host, we were met with excuses and no real help. Even worse, the host implied that we shouldn't leave a negative review if we wanted a refund, which was unacceptable.This property should not be listed until it's properly cleaned, repaired, and made safe. I strongly urge other travelers to avoid booking here.
