Princeville is the gateway to Kauai's north shore and a wide range of activities. Within just a few minutes' drive, you can be kayaking Hanalei River or, seasonally, along the Na Pali coast, hiking trails to secluded beaches near Princeville and along Na Pali, horseback riding to waterfalls and deep-sea fishing. Watch for sea turtles, frolicking dolphins and humpback whales (winter months).

The shops and restaurants of Princeville Center are just minutes from the house. It's just a ten-minute drive to the charming town of Hanalei and one of the world's best beaches.

This place is awesome! Would stay here again! Master bath is huge with awesome bath tub and shower. Master bedroom and kitchen is up stairs and all the other bedrooms are down stairs.

Great for family size guests

We very much enjoyed our stay. The home is in a beautiful location on a golf course with plenty of windows to enjoy the view. The home has a fully stocked kitchen which made it nice to prepare meals and with the large five bedrooms it fit our family of 9 very well. The beds were great, it is very clean, with plenty of towels for in the home as well as beach towels.

Princeville stay

Excellent accommodations for a large group. Clean, extremely well equipped for everything from beach equipment to cooking for a large group. Plenty of space for everyone, as well as linens, towels, etc for our large family. The hot tub was a big hit! Would have preferred to be able to check in and out using the lockbox on site as opposed to having to pick up and drop off keys.

Fabulous House

My family of 9 stayed in this house recently. It was the perfect place for us. The configuration of beds and bedrooms allowed everyone to have a private/semi private place to retreat. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was wonderful and complete with all of the items that you might need. The laundry room was equipped with laundry detergent and dryer sheets. There were beach toys, towels and coolers that made our beach trip very convenient. The A/C ran very nicely. This is an ideal location if most of your plans are on the north shore. The south shore is a 60 minute drive. The bathrooms were beautiful, well stocked with towels and a blow dryer. They did not however have any toiletries, so it is important to make sure you have your own shampoo, conditioner and extra soap. Overall, we could not have found a better place to stay - just beautiful!!

A Spacious and Comfortable Vacation Home

Naia Hale exceeded our expectations! We had 10 people staying at the house (2 families with adult children plus our older parents). There was enough room for everyone to be comfortable and have their own space, but also gather together, when needed. There were outdoor lounge spaces on both sides of the house so we could choose to be in the sun or in the shade during the course of the day. We used the patios every single day. Princeville was a bit of a drive from the busier side of the island, but we liked being away from the crowds. If you didn’t NEED to leave the north shore, it was a perfect location. There were beautiful beaches and cute shops in Hanalei just minutes away. It was nice to have the coolers, beach chairs, and boogie boards available in the garage...we used them all. The girls even used the hot tub one evening. The house stayed fairly cool when the wind was blowing (which was most evenings), but we did run the air conditioners in the bedrooms at night and in the main living space a couple of times to draw the humidity out of the air. All worked well. We would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone.

Our overall stay was comfortable.

There was enough room in the drive way for the 3 cars needed for my big family. As well as enough space and beds for the 13 of us.The wifi worked well enough for 3 of us to be able to do our work from home. There were some quirks as one would expect with an older home. My biggest complain was that the cleaning crew charged an extra fee on top of the original $$$ we paid when reserving, because we left the towels dirty, a few dirty dishes, food we didn’t get to finish eating in the fridge, and empty shopping bags in some rooms/restrooms. I was sent pictures by management after waiting over a week for a call back. The pictures provided were, in my opinion, what one would consider regular cleaning for a big party. Before leaving the home, our party did pick up the trash we had outside in the patio as well as most of the trash inside, washed and put away most of the dishes except for the dirty pans left, made and folded the linens on most of the beds, and did some sweeping. We also did the cleaning that was asked of us in the rules of the home. There was a lot of trash bags, but like I said we were 13 people staying for a week. If it was needed for us to do the laundry as well, it should of been added in the rules and enough tide pods should of been left for us to use as when we arrived there was only about 6 in the laundry room.If you are staying here or thinking of staying here with a big party, I recommend you do the cleaning for the crew to avoid this extra fee.

Very nice home!

We had a large group of 11 of us. The house indicates it sleeps 13, so there was definitely enough room for all. The location. Is great, near everything. The home is beautiful and spacious. We did not give 5 stars, since 2 bedrooms do not have A/C and those occupants suffered. Also, unbeknownst to us, the host gives a "starter package" for toilet paper and paper towels. Between us, we have 2 rental properties and never heard of such a thing , not supplying toilet paper and paper towels sufficient for the entire stay. It was very odd and disappointing. We asked for more, but they said no. The hot tub was dirty as well, so we didn't use it. The hosts did not offer information on the home, surrounding amenities and area activities etc, which we also found odd, as we leave lots of insight for our guests. Aside from that the house was lovely.

Finally had our Family Vacation!

We originally planned a vacation to Kauai in 2020. So this was a bit delayed. Houses were harder to find in 2022 and Kauai was packed. But, we were thrilled with this home. It worked perfectly for us. The layout was great. No one felt crowded. But there were multiple places where we could be together. The upstairs lanai was perfect and had a view of the ocean. The garage was fully stocked with chairs, ice chests, boogie boards and sand toys. There were also towels for the beach. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and spices. I would definitely stay here again. We had the best weather we have ever had on North Shore.(Normally you can expect some rain every day.) The rain happened at night and the days were beautiful. A word of caution about Kauai in general; Restaurants are packed. The ones that take reservations now (a lot that used to don’t anymore) are booked weeks in advance. Most are just put your name in and wait (a long time). So, plan ahead. You also need reservations to park if you going to the end of the road (Napali Coast).

Everything was perfect. Great location and the house was clean and roomy and comfortable for all 12 of us. Sometimes the air conditioning didn't work just right but there were many fans and the decks were great. The washer and dryer were a great thing to have with all 12 of us going hiking, to the beach, tubing and kayaking!!

Naia Hale: it could have been sooo good!...

Although this home is showing some age (30 yrs?) it seems to be holding up structurally well. There are many things in the house that are not working... the jaccuzzi tub in the master bath hasn't worked for a looooong time. the hot tub on the back patio is not working... (not sure for how long), this was a major disappointment for us and both of these items should be noted in their listing so you can base your decision to stay here on the true condition of the property. The rest of the property was nice and the pictures are a good representation of the home. Kauai Vacation rentals has been easy to work with thru this covid mess and I give them kudo's for that. There are beach chairs, water shoes, coolers and even snorkel gear in the garage if you want to use them which is a nice touch... Final Note: they broke ground on a house next door on June 22nd 2021. This house will be under construction for the next few months... be aware of this if you are staying here over the next few months until construction is finished on that house. Overall, we enjoyed the house even with the items listed that were major dissapointments... The beds are great, the AC was working in all the rooms, the furnishings and finishes of the home while showing some wear are still nice. Now a general note on Kauai after covid. This is my third trip to Kauai over the past 10 years. This time, I sensed and experienced a fair amount of tension and outright hostility among the locals and especially the so called (natives) on the Island. There are many illegal signs up that state (locals only) on public drives, parking lanes and beaches... At several of the beach parks, there are large groups of seperatists that have put up large camps and are hostile to tourists... Covid and not having to share the island with visitors for over a year has changed the old laid back ways of Kauai... there is still plenty to do and it's still fun. but there is a tension there now that you should be aware of... not so friendly anymore

Overall a wonderful place

We loved working with Kauai Vacation Rentals! Very honest, also very informative and the thoughtful little gifts that Kaua’i Vacation Rental left for our arrival was so nice. It was great to have starter items in the house when we arrived. My only advice would be that they make random checks on the house cleaners. The beds should be moved and cleaned under to remove dead cockroaches and gross stains, lamps need dusted to remove spider webs. and the entire floor should be swept. Didn’t mind paying a cleaning deposit but I didn’t expect to have to clean some of the house when we arrived. Sorry I did leave the spider webs. But Overall I would HIGHLY Recommend this house! This is a beautiful, spacious house in an ideal location. Princeville is a beautiful resort, with immaculately maintained properties near Hanalei Bay. We had my extended family of 12 staying there, and everyone agreed that it was even better than the great photos and descriptions that they saw in advance. I have rented a lot of nice places and I give this my highest recommendation.
