The air conditioning was not working the first day. We walked into the whole house being 91 degrees. The smoke detector battery was out so there was an annoying beep going off every 10 secs. One of the bathrooms had ants everywhere the whole stay. We called for help and they were able to fix the smoke detector, but the air conditioner lasted less than an hour. Called for help again, they came back to fix it once more, but woke up in the middle of the night drenched. It stopped working again. A couple of us left to stay at a hotel. A few slept in their cars. Our kids slept on the floor by the front door for breeze. Some bunked up in the bottom floor bedroom by the garage with a window unit. I got a hold of the owner, was told that we would be compensated and a technician was sent over for the 3rd time. AC finally worked after several attempts. Still no compensation from owner or VRBO/Vacasa. Not even a follow up. We lost a WHOLE day/night and morning of the 2nd day. I followed up several times with this company and still have gotten a response. I waited for them to make it right. This happened on July 26th. Unacceptable. We deserve a refund for the first 24 hours.
