Romantische kamer
Romantisch ingerichte kamer in oorspronkelijke deel van het hotel. Groot bed en mooie badkamer met bubbelbad. Ontbijt in nieuwe gedeelte van het hotel met een ontbijtbuffet. We zijn geen grote ontbijters dus dan is de prijs van eur 17 pp hoog.

Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux. Nous avons été surclassé dès le départ et nous avons eu une chambre avec beaucoup de charme et très spacieuse. Nous reviendrons car le cadre est magnifique.

Great location, older rooms a little tired
The location of this hotel is great, and we were welcomed very politely by the young man on reception and his younger sister showed us to our room as he had broken his leg so was in plaster! We had booked one of the more expensive rooms in the old building and although the suite was sprawling it was apparent that it could do with a bit of maintenance. The mosaic tiles were starting to come off the shower floor (the shower head and pressure were brilliant) and the jets in the hydro bath didn't work. The breakfast selection was massive, and there was definitely something for everyone. We were offered breakfast on our terrace one morning due to the low occupancy of the hotel (Sunday night), and we had a huge trolley of food brought to us which we thoroughly enjoyed. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk the two minutes into the town square where there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy, if you don't eat at the hotel.

Anmutiges Hotel in schöner Lage
Das Hotel ist schön gelegen und gemütlich. Corona-Pandemie Maßnahmen werden sehr gut befolgt und man fühlt sich sicher. Auch das Personal ist freundlich. Der Zustand der Zimmerausstattung könnte verbessert werden (Heizung im Badezimmer, Dampfbad, Hauptwasserzufluss in der Badewanne, einige Steckdosen funktionierten alle nicht). Trotzdem ein schönes Hotel.

Big rooms, clean hotel
Was a very big, clean room with a massive shower & bath. However, it wasn’t made clear that the room I booked would be out in a separate building. I was a little disappointed as I was hoping to stay in the quaint hotel building. Apart from that, nice place.

Fab room but overpriced food with poor service
Warm welcome and fab room (No 6) on the top floor (which we requested) with oak cruck beams & exposed brickwork plus large bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower. This surpassed our expectations. The dining experience overall was not so good, although the food itself was very good, but hugely overpriced. The (female) maitre d' had a bossy, superior manner which grated on us. The cheapest wine was a mediocre Shiraz at 30E. The restaurant was in three classically elegant rooms, but we were led through two superior-looking ones into what seemed like an overflow room with a big empty table in the middle and no atmosphere. Only another English couple and a young Belgian (we think) couple were in there. Even though we had ordered at 8pm for our booking at 8.30, it was 9pm when we were sent (not taken) to our table and service was so slow we left at 10.45, having only had two courses. She then insisted we pay (169E for two courses) before leaving, even though we were resident.- no charging to the room. Breakfast was in a modern, self-service cafeteria in an adjacent building, and was an ok cold buffet, but not worth 17E We would not return or reccomend Hotel Recour.

That is also the reason why the bill must be paid separately. I hope you understand that for this reaseon I can not comment on your review about the restaurant, but I will definitely pass on your reaction to them. We regret that you did not fully enjoy your stay at our hotel. We would appreciate it if you let us know what was lacking at breakfast so that we could possibly improve it. We hope we may welcome you in our hotel anyway. We can recommend many other restaurants.

Lovely small hotel in lovely town
A very charming small hotel in the lovely town of Poperinge. Our room was olde world yet modern with all the mod cons including air con and jacuzzi bath plus super king size four poster bed- very comfortable.

Checking in was a little haphazard but once we made contact staff were helpful. The building is seventeenth century and the room was delightfully furnished to reflect its age though the adjoining door to the ensuite bathroom was flimsy. Breakfast was very good. The restaurant is separately run and therefore the evening meal should be paid for at the time.

Hôtel bien situé au centre de Poperinge avec un parking privatif gratuit. La chambre était spacieuse et d’un grand confort avec une salle de bain attenante luxueusement équipée - Chambre Le Corbusier.

I had a wonderful stay here. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The building and room was great. Very nice setting and easy to walk around Poperinge.

Lovely little town and wonderful hotel.
I know it wasn't busy season, but everyone loves an upgrade, no matter what the reason. Beautiful room, beautifully furnished. Loved the extra little touches too.

Convenient in center of Poperinge
The rooms in the main building are very characteristic, not always very practical but interesting. The new building (via a walk bridge) is more contemporary. Very nice spacious rooms.

Beautiful hotel. Nice quiet town.
We stayed two nights but had to book a third at short notice on a Sunday having forgotten to worm the dog with a vet prior to return to uk that day. Hotel owner helped me get hold of the vet and gave walking directions which reduced the stress. Lovely choice for breakfast €17 extra. Very highly recommended restaurant on site which unfortunately we didn't have time to visit. Local area has endless points of interest for 1st and 2nd world war enthusiasts and their less enthusiastic partners. Room was luxurious, dog friendly, had a spa bath and an amazing separate shower and we were in a standard room !!! Highly recommend this hotel. Great position for walking into poperinge or driving to Ypres.

Super lovely hotel in a super cute town
Had a fantastic one night stay with my husband and border terrier. The staff we're super friendly, especially as we arrived late at night. The room was massive (pretty sure it's bigger than my flat), very comfortable and clean. There's a lovely local park right near the hotel, which was perfect for our dog. Local town is very quiet and peaceful with some nice cafes for coffee/drinks/bite to eat. Parking next to the hotel is pay and display and pretty cheap. There was a market in the town centre on Friday morning (we think it's there every day, but we only stayed one night so can't be too sure) that sold all kinds of things from clothes to cheese. Really lovely stay and we'd absolutely return if we're ever in that neck of the woods again.

Room was large size with large terrace. Very clean. TV was tiny and channel offering very limited. Be wary of "on site parking". There are 4 spaces, otherwise paid parking nearby. First room had water bed - didn't expect that! Staff graciously switched rooms for us the next day to a regular bed. Have to pay for breakfast which is not a good value for the money, but all food in Belgium is expensive compared to the U.S. it seems.

Fabulous hotel with individually decorated rooms. Evening meal, although relatively expensive is well worth the experience. Fantastic 4 poster bed and sunken jacuzzi bath made for a very relaxing stay. Did not take breakfast so unable to comment.

Family reunion. Although some of the family stayed in other hotels nearby we chose Recour for our family meal. We were not disappointed, because food and service were superb. For those of us that stayed at Recour we found the rooms very comfortable,xand beautifully decorated. We stayed in the older part of the hotel.

Stunningly beautiful hotel full of character
We had a very warm welcome with plenty of help over parking etc. Our room was absolutely stunning and the most memorable of any hotel bedroom I have ever stayed in. The exquisite taste of the decor is perfectly chosen for the old building which has immense charm. The breakfasts were simple and utterly delicious, again everything was immaculately presented. The bed was the best thing of all about 10 feet wide and extremely comfortable.

Quaint building
We were in the Flanders region for a few days. Our room here was very nice and a great size for a European hotel (we did book a superior room). We were nice and close to lots of dining options which was good because we stayed on a Sunday and Monday when the hotel restaurant was closed.

Good home base in Flanders
One block to main square, great location. Large bathtub with spa jets was very relaxing. No shower in our bathroom if that matters to,yo. A lovely hotel, large vase full of fresh pink peonies, large jars of free candies, very welcoming. A great location to explore Flanders war museums and cemeteries.

Great hotel for battlefield exploring weekend
Lovely hotel centred in a nice part of Flanders, very hospitable family run hotel, the restaurant was a real treat, with exceptional food. it was annoying hearing the running water one night, would be good to have the breakfast included in the room rate but it was one of the best hotel breakfasts We have had. The new private spa is good also.
