« We had a great time on our girls weekend trip to Banner Elk. The cabin was spacious, welcoming and clean. Unfortunately we did have issues with the hot tub. The control panel was not functioning so no jets. We notified the host who was quick to respond and have maintenance get it working but with it being the weekend everyone was off. It didn’t ruin our trip we still had a great time. We will definitely be back »

« Hidden Gem is amazing. We stayed for 4 days to enjoy the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The house was perfect for a mix of adults and young children. Super clear and easy booking, communication, check-in and check-out. We already have ideas on coming back. Highly recommend. »

« A cozy cabin in a beautiful area. It was clean, comfortable, and suited our family well. I was glad to be able to use the kitchen that was nicely stocked with the basics, including stainless steel pots and utensils (we try to avoid plastic and Teflon), so that was a pleasant surprise! The kids enjoyed the adjacent campground's arcade room (about a five minute drive or 20 minute walk) from the cabin. Overall, a pleasant stay! »

« The property is located in Springmaid Mountain. Cell service is very spotty, and you cannot be guaranteed a signal. This made it difficult to access Vrbo for check-in instructions. There was an email with access to a website where you could click on a Check-in button where you would think would give you a code. But since we were not given the key code in advance there were a few minutes of confusion and stress as the property office was closed. Once we were able to get a phone signal we...

« Wonderful 1848 cabin with log walls and wood floors, a little crooked but remember when it was built. Everything updated inside in kitchen, bathrooms and comfortable furniture. Lots of dishes, pots/ pans etc for cooking. We spent our early mornings and evenings on the swing on the screened in porch and enjoying visits with the deer and rabbits. « Renting from this host has been a 100 percent positive experience for me! The home fit all our needs, as well as being quiet and well outfitted, the hot tub was a plus on many evenings. This was my first long term rental and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was managed by our host. He was quick to respond to questions, moved quickly on a small repair that was necessary, and generally made us feel welcome. Would definitely rent again! Barbara »

« Several items unsafe- sliding glass door lock broken, receptacle plate missing; wires hanging; post on railing on 2nd floor deck missing (our golden retriever could fit through - no question dangerous) Outside could use some TLC; inside was nice. »

Very good location to attractions and activities in the area. We were there to go to the Scottish games at Grandfather Mountain. The shuttle service was just at the bottom of the mountain and couldn’t be easier. »

« This was just what my wife and I needed, the house was nice and clean and the property was secluded. We had a family of deer walk through in the morning. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this place again. Zac and very easy to talk to and responded very quickly. »

« We had a very nice time. Thought the place was as advertised. Would of gave it 5 stars if not for the fire pit area. Steps were very steep and the area around the fire pit was also sloped quite a bit, making it difficult to sit around the pit comfortably. Overall thought it was a good value. »
