The condo was perfect and you could tell a lot of thought and work went into making it gorgeous. Here’s the issue: there is a step (outside) where my 80yr old father fell on (cutting his hand, tearing his pants - it was scary but luckily being a military veteran he knew to roll with the fall), my 17yr son fell on the same step, my 60yr wife fell on the same step, all of their cousins fell on the same step (yeah, scary when they all knew their 80yr grandfather fell on it first and everyone was warned) the issue is IT ISNT SAFE - the step should be lite or painted bright yellow so it shows up. The falls could have resulted in serious injuries to everyone and messed up an already somber visit. The apartment itself was gorgeous and well appointed (keurig, all appliances, renovated bathrooms, new floors, comfortable furniture, etc *the TV’s left a lot to be desired but were not a deal breaker - just annoying ‘Roku’ TV’s), and the views of golf courses from every single window are spectacular. *I rented the apartment for my mothers funeral (we live out of state but have family in Pinehurst) and that bottom step is extremely dangerous - it matches the sidewalk and the hand railing stops a foot back, at night the step is virtually invisible even when you know it’s there. As an experienced VRBO’er, I will say the apartment was perfect. 2 full sized beds in one bedroom, and a queen bed in each of the other two bedrooms. Plenty of seating for eating and tastefully decorated.
