Honest review:When you first walk in there is a distinct musty smell. I’m not sure if this is good or not but we did become nose blind to it after while and didn’t notice it as much. When we got there we noticed that the refrigerator didn’t seem to be working. The guidebook/app says to wait 12 hours for it to cool down and to buy ice to cool food. Thankfully, we waited because the next morning it still wasn’t working. We notified Brooks & Shorey and someone came out and couldn’t fix it. They did arrange for a backup refrigerator to be brought in for us to use. We wound up use DoorDash to get some food in because we (we didn’t rent a car) had to wait for the fridge to cool down. The unit itself is need of a really good scrubbing. It’s a very spacious condo, the furniture and beds are comfortable. The balcony and view are just as pictured.

Yearly Family Vacation

Surf Dweller has been the best place to stay in Ft. Walton and room 712 has been the best room in the 5 years we've stayed. All have been different rooms just to get a feel for the different view point. Only downfall that i can think of are the elevators being slow...but hey, you're at the beach so whats the rush. Love this place

Great place to stay. Special should out for Elizabeth from the property management office who relocated us to this unit proactively after finding our rented unit to be too noisy because of some renovation work on the unit. She was a superstar and made sure we enjoyed our stay!

Great Unit in a great location

This condo had everything we needed, plenty of space to spread out and kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly think of. Only constructive criticism I have is there is no mechanical lock on the front door, only the numerical keypad (which did have a dead bolt that wasn't working/installed). So from the inside it would be super easy for little kids who like to wander to just take off without anyone noticing.

We found out about 3 weeks before our arrival there that they will be sanding the balconies and doing construction on the building. Dust will be everywhere we were told. Was not happy had to find a different place to stay in that short time period. Very upset.

Great stay, issues with elevators

The condo was great, location is great we have stayed there before. There are 4 elevators in this building. 2 of the 4 were out of service, both of the elevators closest to our room. The next closest elevator stuck with me in it and the doors would not open for several minutes. I called every number on the call list at the property and got 0 response. That just left the elevator at the complete opposite end of the building for us to use. Not thrilled about that at all.

Beautiful property. Very spacious.

From the booking to the check out technology worked beautifully. Cleanest condo we’ve ever stayed in! One problem with getting one of the three tvs. Brooks and shorey sent a person to come to our condo and fixed the problem immediately. Great customer service! Views were spectacular. We loved the balcony too. Everything was perfect.

GREAT CONDO WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF GULF

We LOVED EVERYTHING about the condo, except the King size bed......there was nothing wrong with it, just WAAAAY too soft for my husband and myself. I highly recommend this property!!

This was so much more than we anticipated. Great location, close to everything yet away from major crowds. Loved the free umbrella n chairs(The guy running it was super friendly n helpful). Beautiful view from top floor. Will definitely stay here again .

Very spacious, comfortable beds, and AMAZING VIEWS!!!

Loved this place, very clean and spacious, nice big balcony with amazing views from the top floor, corner unit so you got the beautiful views from the living room, dining room and kitchen. Master bedroom had access to the balcony with amazing views also. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Amazing Beach Condo

Great location. Great view. Close to the tourist area but far enough away to absorb the sounds of the ocean. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching people on the beach and enjoyed watch the little flashlights up and down the beach at night lookin for beach creatures. Very clean condo with everything you need. Only negative thing to mention is that the beds were not comfortable. I know this can be subjective but it seemed the beds were worn out. Other than that, we will definitely book again.

Hurricane Ida

The property was very nice but we arrived the afternoon before Hurricane Ida made landfall. We weren’t able to hit the beach for 2 1/2 days. But that’s Mother Nature. The management company was very prompt to respond to questions and concerns we had and when the weather cleared up, we enjoyed our time on the beach. I appreciate that beach service is included with the rental and the unit is beautifully decorated.

Warm room

Air conditioner was set at 69 degrees but would stat at 75 degrees during day and at night wouldn’t drop lower than 72 degrees. Called maintenance and they couldn’t fix it and gave us fans to use. Next day air conditioning repair man came out and worked on it but Nothing changed. Wasn’t comfortable at all.. We had to keep fans blowing on us in every room not to sweat the whole stay. Never going there again!
