This Lake House Cottage is a true gem. I absolutely loved waking up to the view of the sunrise each morning. The back bedroom overlooks the lake and the many windows let all of the light in. I read an entire novel on the back porch listening to the lolling roll of the lake. I would definitely love to return.
Comfortable and well equipped cottage, beautiful site. Great swimming and paddling, amazing sunrises.Lots to explore nearby as well. All in all a wonderful stay.
We had a great time! The cottage is rustic and quaint, but with all the creature comforts of home away from home, including a dog/kid gate on the porch which was awesome. Bed and pillows in the porch room were great, along with all the window shades to save you from the sunrise of you don't want to wake up early and dressing privacy from the lake and the main house. The small room bed could use a topper for extra cushion but still not bad. This place had everything we needed except marshmallow skewers, we left some there for the next visitors. Convenient travel to all the attractions...15 min to Penn Yan, wineries all along the way, 15 minutes to Geneva, several state parks within a half hour drive, tons of flea markets and antiquing within reasonable distances. Lots of great little towns to visit. Great ice creameries close by. My only 3 cons are 1) childproofing (door on utility room door has no latch and slide bolt is on the inside of the door?? - all cleaning chemicals and drawers of spray paint, etc all in low cabinets and drawers in the bathroom) 2) the main stairs to the water are dangerous. Oddly spaced and slippery when wet, need some step grip tape. The shared stairway is much safer. 3) Entrance to the lake for swimming is very rocky (take your water shoes) and there is no ladder to get back onto the dock if you want to swim out there. Again, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It rained alot while we were there, great show on the porch.
Tim's cottage is right on the shore of Seneca Lake. It's well cared for overall, has lots of personal touches from his his family's life, has a lovely deck overlooking the lake, and an excellent dock for relaxing on, fishing off of, and launching off into the lake in one type of boat or another. Cooking supplies were ample, parking was good, relaxing either in the living room or on the deck were both great. It was a perfect spot for my wife and I to have a few days' break with our grand daughter, enjoy each others' company, and explore the lake and the region in a number of ways. Great place for a Finger Lakes stay!
Tim and Bonnie very accommodating. Our stay was exceptional! Cozy cottage on the lake with our kids and grandkids. Spent a lot of time on the lake with our boat. Just relax and having fun. Second visit up here. More to come. Thank you so much!
This is a great home away from home. The newly added back porch allows for early morning and evening lake watching, regardless of the weather. Itâs good value for the money.
Property is not in good condition. Needs lots of TLC. Seems that it is organized to accommodate as many people as possible without regard to comfort. Stairs leading to dock were dangerous to walk on. Dock itself was questionable. Definitely overpriced.
My daughter and I were looking for a quiet and pretty place to have a self-imposed writing retreat. Creativity comes easier to us when we're in a beautiful natural location. The lake view was just what we needed.
Quaint, quiet, cozy. Enjoyed our time. Liked the new covered deck. Beautiful sunrise plus a beautiful rainbow over the lake! Great location for west side winery visits.
Cottage was gorgeous, front foyer area was great with a queen bed overlooking Seneca lake. Everything was perfect except the weather. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone!! Amazing hosts, thank you again!!
A beautiful, quiet spot for a winter getaway for our anniversary. Loved sleeping on the porch and watching the lake and the water fowl. Would be fun in the summer I'm sure!
The location of the Vrbo was perfect. We were going to an event called Deck the Halls at Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region. Vrbo was clean, quaint and quiet. A beautiful view of Seneca Lake. We all had a great time!
Our original plan was to stay for just one night, but as soon as we arrived at the house, we knew we had to extend our stay. Itâs impossible to spend just one night at such a beautifully designed and well-maintained lake house! Our host was incredibly supportive, answered all our questions, and did their best to enhance our experience. We will definitely return to this wonderful place in the future!
Property was right on lake and the porch by Bungalow made the perfect spot for meals and outdoor living. Access to the dock was great with new stairs and availability of fire pit to enjoy at night was a plus. We enjoyed having the yard space to play cornhole and space to sit to view sunrise and morning coffee. Location was great!
It's an extremely well-kept beautiful cottage, that feels like home! Very cozy and comfortable.
A perfect place for a quiet family stay!
Thank you, Tim and Bonnie for the unforgettable family memories your place gave us!
