TERRIBLE SERVICE!!
Accidently booked at the 24th of may instead of 17th from The Netherlands. Called within 5 minutes with Expedia. It was after office hours 0:00, so they put me through to another open location abroad. From there they connected me directly to the hotel. Friendly person told me to help out and guaranteed me that there were still rooms available for the 17th. He ensured me we could drive to Paris the next day without worries. He just needed to arrange the final agreement with the reservation team and they would give me a call between 8 and 9 a.m. the next morning. In the worst case scenaria we had to pay a surplus.
Unfortunately I didn't receive any phonecall at the given time. When I contacted the hotel myself, they only told me there was nothing they could do for us and we had to contact Expedia instead to arrange things.
The call number was unknown by the hotel. What was even more disgusting is the 'helpful' staffmember advised me to cancel the booking, but there would be no restitution. In that case they could rent the room again! It would be no surprise to you I reacted a bit upset about this. Their response was to end the call! Is that customer service?
Contacting Expedia didn't get me any further either. Because the reservation was non restitutable, there was nothing they could do and only the hotel had the authority to change the date. We still went there and they basically told us the same. There were still rooms available, but we needed to pay again.
