« Mirroring the exterior concrete slab look of the property, the horrible inside of the hotel is a tired version of what used to be even as new ugly design and poor furniture choice. The doors were not made for the frame and hardware so all doors are hacked on the top. You can see daylight around the doors as the fit is so poor. « Although the staff is smiling and welcoming, I would not recommend that hotel for the following reasons. There was not water one day and I went to work without shaving and taking a shower. I selected that hotel because there is a gym and I found a gym not maintained, some equipment was broken or not working and most benches are unstable, which is very dangerous while handling weights. « The Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. « Les chambres sont trop petites, rien pour ranger ses habits lorsqu'on y séjourne une semaine, trop sombre et comme j'avais la chambre à côté de la pièce de stockage pour le ménage, le matin à partir de 6h, le personnel claque la porte de cette pièce toutes les 2 minutes, chantonne et discute tranquillement à ma porte. Cet hotel est très bien décoré, mais le prix est trop élevé pour la prestation. »

« I was working pretty intensively in Lilongwe and I needed a weekend break to wind down. Eden was the perfect spot and barely 20 minutes drive from town. My quiet, restful and beautifully appointed studio had its own mini kitchen and separate bedroom upstairs, so it was more like a small house. And the onsite bar and restaurant and extensive grounds were a delight. I will definitely return. »
