Perfect location close to town!
This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, spacious home is a cut above the rest with its picturesque views of Mount Ruapehu and the Mangateitei stream flowing past the back of the property including a swimming hole to take a dip in the summer plus the popular Ohakune Carrot Park just through the back gate, a place where the kids can enjoy and play all day long.
All fully double glazed and insulated upstairs features an open plan living area with balconies off each side that soak up the sun. The house has been cleverly placed on the site and the surrounding mature trees give a real tree house feeling from this level. You will also find the master bedroom, childrens bunk room with built-in bunk beds, suitable for 3 children or (ONLY) 2 adults , a bathroom and heat pump to keep you warm in the winter months. From this second level, you can gaze at the mountain from every room and lie in bed and listen to the trickle of the Mangateitei stream.
Downstairs reveals two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a second heat pump and a big walk-in drying room to air out your snow gear after a fun day up the mountain.

Comfort and style and stunning views
Comfortable accommodations. Stylish furniture and very comfortable beds. Beautiful views of the mountains! Nice and warm. Disappointing though was the crockery eg. No salad bowls, no platters, no small dip bowls. Downstairs need better lightning.

Nice house.
Very nice house, great proximity to town and the mountain, very clean, tidy and modern. Drying room was exellent for Ski gear. Triple bunks were awesome, kids loved them! Carrot playground through the gate was so handy, nice easy walk to town, lots of tracks and exploring to do. Traffic noise was bad, woke kids, kept us awake at night and house shook with all the trucks passing, this was probably due to the road closure at Raetihi which will hopefully be fixed soon.

Easy space and location
Lovely space to share with extended family. Clean, well equipped and everyone commented on the comfortable beds!
Only negative is road noise, but being so handy to cafes, park etc makes up for that.

Modern house in perfect location
The house is beautiful and modern. The location was great, right by a stream and the carrot Park, and only a couple of minutes walk to all the main restaurants. Great views of the mountain. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others

Fabulous place to stay
Fabulous house that has everything you need for a great weekend stay. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition, the beds were super cony and the kids loved the triple bunks! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone we know.

Perfect snow lodging
Melinda and Brian's place is excellent. It's clean, modern, spacious and in a great location. Communication was excellent and the check process was super. The place has everything you need including a well setup space for drying gear after a big day on the slopes. Our group was super happy with the place and it made for a great long weekend at the mountain.

Incredible, Clean and Relaxing Stay
We found the house to be an amazing place. Everything was nice and cosy, with still enough space to have 10 adults to move around. We spent most of our time in doors since the weather wasn't the best and we had a blast of it.
Definitely will be wanting to stay there again.

Great Location with Nice Host
The property was great, plenty of parking, rooms and the drying room was a great to have. It's close to the carrot and has nice little paths you can walk around as well as being close to places to eat.
Host was friendly, we found there was a bit of miscommunication after our stay but overall it's a great recommendation if you ever need a place to stay.
