Budgethotels in North Gold Coast

'Nice house in a really interesting location. The house is modern with a bit of luxury. Off grid but everything works well - showers, kitchen, fridge, tv - just need to drink bottled water which is provided. We moored our boat at the marina ( no extra cost) and walked up to the house (about 5 minutes). Boat was safe. We ended up finding some of the old resort bikes and exploring the island that way. The best swimming spot is surf side (7 mins by bike) or tipplers swimming enclosure (1km walk from...

'We stayed in a Panoramic Executive Room, which was excellent and offered beautiful views. However, the executive lounge experience could have been better. The breakfast selection and afternoon canapés were disappointing, with limited variety. The breakfast menu remained the same throughout our stay, and more variety would have been appreciated. 'This hotel was in a great location for us. So close to public transport, shops and Restaurants. We were greeted by a friendly cheery young lady at reception. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. We were kept well supplied with toiletries, but unfortunately milk was not replenished so only had the one coffee during our 3 night stay. Air con worked well.It was great to be able to wash and dry our clothes in the laundry at no extra cost.'

The common toilets at Reception needed to be regularly cleaned though-strong smell. Noticed when I arrived and was waiting for my room-not a good first impression'

'Front desk reception was very nice; parking was included and readily available, although a little tight for our SUV; our front screen door was stuck in the locked position, so we were unable to close it; the screen to our balcony was stuck in the locked position, so we couldn’t open it to access the balcony; beds very hard; pillows flat; while we understood that the location would have traffic noise, we didn’t realize this included very obnoxious hooners, constantly through the night. It was...

'Outdated hotel. Very close to the beach.'
