'We enjoyed our stay in Batchawana Bay. Voyageurs Lodge allowed us to enjoy a walk along the beautiful sandy beach of Lake Superior just across the street. Our whitefish was delicious and the apple fritters were very good, but didn't claim the title of world's best (which still goes to the fritters from the long-gone Al's Bakery of Pine River, MN).'

'Everything was clean, no issues. What I missed and was surprised not to have on the door to the room was a security chain or door guard. This especially so since the door to the room leads to the outside of the hotel and not to a hotel hallway. The hotel also uses keys which can be copied rather than the new systems which use codes. '

'Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. There are things that need improvement as this property will be undergoing some renovations by the new owners. It is a rustic old time Inn, but it is quaint and charming, and reminds you of the simpler days. The continental breakfast was adaquate, and you can always bring in food to store in their kitchen frig. The lake view with the mountains was beautiful, and the marina is right across the street.'

'We changed our road trip plans at the last minute and stumbled across this absolute hidden gem. Spacious, clean rooms, beautifully kept grounds, picturesque and convenient location by the highway and wonderful, friendly owners!'
