Bien placé à 1/4 heure du métro. Manque un peu de propreté mais sinon agréable et la literie est bonne. Bruyant mais bon ! On est à New York. Une bonne communication avec l’hôte.

A very warm welcome.

The apartment is very nice, although it could do with a few improvements. Desire is very considerate. The proximity of the metro is convenient. On the other hand, noise pollution can be a nuisance for those not used to city life.

We left after seeing the property. There was a huge hair ball on the living room floor, freezer and oven were dirty. This left me concerned about linens. The bed in the game room is not adequate for an adult. It was two cushions you pushed together. Outside was loud and dirty. We were approached individuals that made us uncomfortable when outside. I sure didn't want or expect to pay for this and a 2nd place to stay.

There are several things that concerned me about this stay. There are a few things that were out side of the abilities of the host, and then there are some that could make a big impact on this day.Things that are outside of the hosts ability;The neighborhood (as a Midwestern white woman I was very uncomfortable every time I stepped outside of the vrbo)There is very little hot water.The street noise is nonstop.The deli downstairs plays loud music early in the morning and late at night.Things that are within the control of the host;The place was very dirty (windows were covered in sticky film, the first thing I had to do was sweep, each, and every air unit was coated with dust and some sort of goo, there were dirty towels hanging on the door when we arrived, there was no dish soap to be found, and all the dishes were covered in a film, the floor had Bear footprints all over it, the dust pan had the previous person’s garbage in it, and so on)I think the biggest thing that caught my attention was the address change two days before I was set to arrive. Being from the Midwest, I take 100% responsibility not knowing the neighborhood that I was renting, however, when I booked this reservation, I was under the impression it was at a specific location. Two days before we departed. I got a text message that said. “ the address is incorrect. Here is the correct address.” Huge red flag…

Overall, it was a good stay. Getting in and out of the apartment was very easy. However, I am unclear as to why the actual address was different than the one that was listed. It was about 3 blocks east, closer to Harlem River. I don’t want to make any assumption but I would suggest to list the actual address so as to be transparent with the customer. Also, that sofa bed in the game room was extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on metal. It was so bad that I went as far as to buy an air mattress for the apartment. I left it there for future stays as a courtesy. Lastly, the tip of the shower faucet where you lift up to switch to the shower head was broken. We still managed to take showers.We still managed to make it to the subway, but it was further than we thought given the address change. The neighborhood itself was ok for the most part, definitely noisy. I did like having the bodega right next to us, as well as a market and other places to eat. The deli below us played loud music a lot however.Overall a good stay.

The host was amazing to deal with and when you are doing a trip to NYC that helps a lot. Place was super clean! I don’t think you can find a better value in Manhattan. Honestly book this place. 2 bedrooms. It’s not too cramped. They keep it very clean. And the AC unit actually works and keeps you cool. I have stayed in a lot of places in Manhattan and for the money this is top notch!

We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights in July. The space is in Spanish Harlem and provided us with good access to the 4, 5, and 6 trains to go to tht Bronx and lower Manhattan. The space was clean and updated. The air conditioners kept us cool despite high temperatures. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There is a washer and dryer in the hallway which you can use for a few dollars paid through an app you can download.

Super cozy stay in a 2 bedroom playroom apartment

I For a short family trip with friends, this apartment was a great choice. Comfortable, convenient, and reasonably priced for New York City. Would definitely consider staying again! The check-in process could have been smoother. We had a bit of confusion with the keypad instructions, but the host responded quickly. Host is very approachable and very well connected. Excellent location—close to public transportation, shops, restaurants, and major attractions. We could walk to a few places, which was a big plus.

Lots of room for a family

There are many upsides to this property. (1) The host was very responsive and helpful (2) Check in was easy. (3) Having 3 bedrooms, a sitting area and a small kitchen was wonderful (4) the games were a bonus. Now, there are a few things to know. Not cons, just information (1) The subway station is a solid 10 minute walk away. (2). This area of East Harlem is diverse, working class, and full of families. We actually loved the neighborhood and everyone was so nice. (Check out La Tropezienne Bakery for amazing morning pastries, Effy’s Kitchen for sit-down breakfast, and MaliNee for delicious Thai food).

There's a lot to like about this apartment. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was great, and the Internet connection was fast and reliable. Desire's communication was excellent. She really put herself out to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It is a bit of a rough area with some loud and obnoxious people on the street. But, the neighbours in the building seem like decent people. The cleanliness wasn't quite what I had hoped it would be - especially the bathroom. Also, the oven was out of order, so it was a bit difficult to cook meals. Also, it would have been helpful to know the correct location before booking, since the actual address was further from the subway station and central park than expected. Having said that, for the price it was still a reasonably convenient location.

Kleines Appartment mit Problemen

Angefangen mit einer falschen Adresse und einem falschen Hauptfoto im Inserat ist dieses Appartement doch mit einigen Mängeln behaftet. Wir waren 20 Minuten vor dem CheckIn am Appartement und haben einen Herren unter der Dusche angetroffen. Dieser erklärte uns zwar, dass er noch das Appartement reinigen würde, aber dem war nicht so. Uns würde ein völlig unsauberes und unaufgeräumtes Appartment übergeben. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren fleckig und voller Haare. Die Kontaktaufnahme mit Desire verlief unkompliziert und sie bot uns eine Nachreinigung am nächsten Tag an. Da wir uns entschieden das Putzen selbst zu übernehmen, hat sie uns letztlich 100 USD erstattet und am Folgetag frische Wäsche gebracht.Das Appartment ist nicht, wie in die Anzeige angegeben neu, sondern doch schon in die Jahre gekommen und nicht mehr ganz so up to date. Die Lage an einer sehr belebten Kreuzung in East Harlem verspricht wenig Schlaf und entspricht eben nicht der angegeben Location im Inserat.Was wirklich fehlt in einem Appartemen für 4 istAblagefadauSchl cowr Haare. Hand fleckig und voller Haare.

Near transportation

Overall this place was cute and cozy. It was fine for 3 adults. Location was near by buses and trains which was convenient. Also plenty of delis, and other places for food and groceries. Easy check-in and we were able to drop off bags before check-in. However, i will say that overall cleanliness could be better. Had to sweep the floor as soon as we got there a little after 3pm. Although we did not use the oven -and stove as we opted to eat out, it did not seem clean, oven door looked broken from the side. Additionally host sent a refund by mistake, in which I had to go through the process and make that payment amount back, and now hoping it doesn't mess with our full payment amt.

Great Decor and great communication

The host communicated well and made sure all of our questions were quickly answered. The apartment's decor is fun and exactly like the picture. Super cute! The location is well into Harlem, so keep that in mind. It was about an 18-minute walk to the closest subway, so we used Uber the whole time we were there.

Perfekt um Manhattan zu erkunden

Ich war mit meinen zwei Kindern 15 und 17 Jahre für 12 Tage in New York. Für lokale Verhältnisse war die Wohnung gut erreichbar, man hat etwa eine Stunde bis zur Innenstadt gebraucht. Die Wohnung ist von diversen Bus- und Metrostationen umgeben. Sie liegt im 1. Stock direkt an der Kreuzung 1 Avenue und 103 Street und ist unfassbar laut, Tag und Nacht. Der Lärm darf einem nichts ausmachen. Ansonsten war alles da, was man braucht. Man sollte keinen europäischen Standard erwarten. Uns hat die Zeit hier sehr gefallen.

Fantastic experience!

We had a wonderful stay at your Harlem apartment! It was very well-equipped and perfect for our family of four. The game room with arcade machines was a huge hit with our kids (five stars!). The host was exceptionally friendly and check-in/out was super clear. The 10-minute walk to the subway was convenient for getting downtown. We noted the location was a couple of blocks east of the listing, but it was minor. A small suggestion: an Italian coffee pot would be nice. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Loved everything about our stay

I loved the apartment as well as the location. It is close to a subway, bus station, restaurants, grocery stores....basically everything you need, and it is very clean. The host was responsive and great to deal with. We truly enjoyed our stay! I recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit New York City.
