Amazing getaway

My wife and I wanted to do something a little special for our 20th anniversary. We've always loved New Braunfels, and wanted a cabin - we miss our RV. I found Oak Crest Haus on Vrbo, and it looked like just what we wanted, and at a great price too. We were not disappointed! Josh got us all our details prior to our arrival. We walked through the front door and there was an anniversary card with a bottle of wine and two glasses! My wife thought I'd arranged it, but I had to confess it was our host. The whole stay was great! The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. The bathroom was clean. The decor was very homey and charming without being too much. It was less than a half hour from everywhere we wanted to go. We would stay there again in a heartbeat..we will if it's available next time we're in New Braunfels. I'm bad about taking pictures, so there aren't any in this review. The ones in the Vrbo profile, however, are quite accurate.

Fabulous Cottage on Private Gated Property

My stay was wonderful; communication with the host was so easy. The cottage was very clean, and attention was paid to the small details. Bath and hair products were available in the shower, kitchen was well stock for cooking, both the freezer and fridge were in great working order. The bed was very comfortable and both window unit air conditioners worked to keep the cottage cool. The location was perfect for tubing the Guadalupe, I look forward to returning in the future.

Very Pleased

This was a cute, welcoming little cabin! It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We enjoyed staying there very much! Since we are tall, we really appreciated the tall, corded shower head! The bed was so comfortable and had amazing sheets 😁. We were also very happy to have a list of suggestions/recommendations for nearby restaurants and things to see and do. The owners were very nice and very responsive to our communications! We will definitely be visiting again!

My Second Time Here!

I just love staying here! The property seems like it’s far out in the country, but is really EASY access to Canyon Lake, Wimberley, and Gruene…my favorite places. The house has everything you need…and the A/C did great, keeping up with these unbearable Texas temps! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick stay

Very nice secluded location. AC in the bedroom kept freezing up, making the bedroom warm at night. I turned it off to let the ice thaw, and cleaned the filter, and it helped some. Enjoyed seeing the momma deer and her babies while we were there.

Impeccable attention to detail.

We were impressed with the attention to detail. The host was friendly and quick to respond to questions. The property is safe, the driveway is gated. Cottage is tucked into the trees. We were able to park in the provided carport. Bed was very comfortable. Our needs were anticipated and provided for. Decorated so well. We loved or stay, and will return.

This property was perfect! The cabin is very clean, decorated so cute and has everything you need! Surrounded by lots of beautiful trees! Easy access with remote for the outer gate and code to enter the cabin. My kids took their RV to Fimfo RV Resort, but I wanted my own space and this was perfect…only 10 minutes from them! I will be back! All the kitchen essentials and they even provide big bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Needed both the air conditioner and heater during my stay, and both worked GREAT! It even comes with a cute cat! 😻 Thanks so much to the owners…you WILL see me again!

Perfect for anyone looking to stay in the area!

We had a wonderful experience at this property. Josh was incredibly communicative, and it was adorable and quaint for our two day stay to visit family at the lake. Everything was as listed, we made breakfast with the items in the kitchen, watched tv in the living room, and the bed was very comfy. There was also a cute cat that visited us a few times! We loved it and would definitely come back and recommend to everyone.

Great piece of Texas Hill Country

A wonderful little Vrbo tucked away out of the city but close enough to enjoy both worlds. The Vrbo was super clean and accessible for a little gogo scooter. We will be coming back!

Super cute! Highly recommend!!

We truly enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, easy to get to, the owner was kind! They had everything we needed! Shampoo, conditioner, keurig and kcups, etc! Cold A/C! They also had a bunch of board games, which we did play, and a large selection of dvd’s for us to choose from if we wanted. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something in the area! It seems “far” from downtown New Braunfels on the map, but it’s truly not and it’s actually nice being away from downtown. It’s peaceful and quiet!

Sweet Cabin in a Wooded Property with Greeter

Quaint cottage with all the amenities anyone would want. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, roomy shower. Great proximity to Gruene, New Braunfels & San Macros. Best bonus was the sweet little cat that greeted us. While I don't like to see cats outside, she was a sweetie and I enjoyed giving her the attention she craved.
