Wonderful stay at Drakes Cove

Had a wonderful stay at Drakes Cove. Jacquie was very responsive and helpful in the pre-booking communication and throughout our stay. The house was in pristine condition and in addition to having everything we needed, Jacquie was kind enough to also provide snacks and much needed coffee! We were also grateful everything was labeled - we had a 1 year old with us, and it was super helpful to know what was in each kitchen cabinet, and it was all so organized! It was such a nice perk in addition to a wonderful stay.

Another White Family Reunion and James City Day in the books

We booked this location for a family reunion, and it couldn’t have worked out better. The space was spacious, clean, and very well-equipped for a group – plenty of seating, beds, and shared areas for everyone to gather and enjoy time together. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare big meals, and the outdoor area was a great bonus for relaxing and catching up.The host was communicative, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was also convenient, with easy access to local shops and attractions, which made planning activities simple.Everyone in our group was impressed, and we’d gladly stay here again. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for a comfortable and memorable place to stay!

Perfect

Stayed with a group of old friends for our annual golf tournament. The property was perfect for our stay. The house is cool and there’s a great view from the back porch. I would definitely stay here again if I was back in the area and traveling with a large group. Impressive collection of games too!

So I rented this property for 4 days for my wife's 60th birthday. We live in this area but our house is too small for all the visitors that came in from out of state. The property is wonderful and the host was very accommodating to questions. Its a lovely home in a safe and clean community.

PERFECT

Enjoyed our time at Drakes Cove. First part of our stay was during a tropical storm, but it was very relaxing nonetheless. My son took his boat and thoroughly enjoyed having it docked right there in the back yard all week. The house was immaculate. I really appreciated that. Will definitely stay again.

Great Gathering

Great gathering location for family wedding. Enjoyed the golf cart parade for the 4th of July. Caught the fireworks show in New Bern. The community recreation center was fun - miniature golf, fitness room, pool, hot tub. We even got to listen to some live music while enjoying some food from the food trucks. Great restaurants in New Bern, and the pizza at Sara’s on Broad Creek Road was good too. Very enjoyable stay.

Perfect home for a group!

After a bad experience with another rental, Jacquie and her home was a breath of fresh air - literally! We walked into a home that was obviously freshly cleaned. It smelled clean as soon as we walked in. Cleanliness is top of my wishlist so i was immediately happy. The view from the deck is amazing! The yard is great for playng some yard games and there is even cormhole there. Lots of trees surrounding the home and it feels private even though you are in a neighborhood. The driveway is long and plenty big enough for several cars. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. Every cabinet and drawer is labeled. The grill is big and nice. There are several common areas with tv's, puzzles, games, an arcade & seating. The bedrooms were comfortable and not crowded. The host was very kind and accomodating! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!!
