'This is a classic & well-maintained historic hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to see the entrance, great room, grand ball room & meeting rooms kept in their original state, yet the guestrooms have been tastefully updated with modern furnishings & accoutrements. The bed was comfortable, hot water was plentiful, big screen HDTV & HVAC system performed flawlessly.'

'Beautiful historic property. If you like historical hotels this is nice one. Staff was, without exception very good. I gave 4 stars because of the age and wear, which is to be expected, but might bother travelers who prefer newer properties. Great blackout curtains. The hotel bar was good.'
