Great Stay - Need (minor) Updates
The apartment is as described, with some minor wear and tear showing around the furniture, which is perfectly normal for a property that is likely used throughout the year. I personally found that an air freshener by the door would be beneficial, once we opened the door, the smell of "old building " hit our nose slightly—nothing to do with the cleaning. The place is spotless. It is just the nature of the 80s building. The one star deduction is due to the sleeper sofa and the lack of shutters or curtains in the LR. The mattress needs replacement, and waking up with the sun beating on your face is not fun. Easy fix. We appreciated the clean sheets sealed inside a bag and plenty of fluffy white towels. The property doesn't come with beach chairs and umbrellas, but you can rent them downstairs. Mainsail works hard on the property upkeep except for the elevators. They are atrocious lol. They didn't work a couple of times, but we took the stairs or other elevators. We also appreciate the luggage cart that is available to haul our staff up to the apartment. As others said, the beach is fantastic, and there are plenty of shopping and restaurants around. We had the privilege of seeing a couple of dolphins from our verandah, and nothing beats that! The Glass Casa was easy to work with and kept us informed throughout the process. Also, please note that the area uses Central time, which we didn't realize right away. This was our first time in the Panhandle, and it did not disappoint!
