There was the worse smell in the house. My daughter works for a company that does black mold cleaning and she said that it exactly what the smell is. I talked to the host and she told me they pumped the septic tank and tore the tile floor out and painted the floors and walls. She acted as if I was making all this up but trust me I have 5 witnesses that can tell you their story. It was late when we arrived and I was tired from driving and she and VRBO told me we can leave right then and get a motel . I refused because we were not going to a motel. I have medical supplies that have to be refrigerated and an insulated container that has to be frozen to keep my supplies cold all day. The refrigerator did not have a freezer. The house was much smaller than the description. There was not enough seating in the living room for 6 people. The basement was the worst smelling place in the house and no over head lighting in the play area but that was ok because the kids couldn’t stand the smell. We slept in the house but we rose early and left for the entire day and came back only to sleep. If the host did all she said she did, septic tank, tile and paint, she had to know about the smell before we arrived. She had deodorizer either on or in front of fans blowing in every room.Why would you do all this if there was nothing wrong.
