The host was very responsive. Location is great and convenient. The building is older and dated. Construction taking placing in some areas. There was an extraction unit on a flat bed truck outside the building that ran 24/7. It made being on the balcony quite loud. There was a small dog in the unit across the hall that barked constantly and most of the night. The bathroom tub and shower is old and has mold between some of tiles and caulking. Other than the shower, the condo was very clean. The bed was comfortable.Comparatively for the area, the price is lower so just understand what you are getting.

Lugar perfeito, super organizado, tudo funciona, academia, piscina, apto super equipado, tem até um mercadinho no condomínio! Administradora sempre pronta a atender e ajudar com minhas dúvidas. Por motivo de força de maior, autorizaram um check-out mais tarde sem nenhum adicional! Muito feliz e satisfeita com nossas férias. Voltarei com certeza!

Ocean Reserve condo

We had a nice week in Sunny Isles, FL. Here is my impression of our stay at Ocean Reserve. The apartment itself was very nice. The living room and kitchen area are newly updated and very modern. While the bathroom has been updated somewhat, we found the bathtub/shower is in need of updating or at least in need of some attention. All the caulking both inside and around the tub/shower is badly in need of replacing. It looks old and tattered and is getting moldy. The shower curtain is a cloth material rather than vinyl/plastic and also shows signs of mold. Overall we liked the apartment and so I mention these issues more as a recommendation to the property manager. Speaking of which, AYP Rentals was great to deal with. We had a small issue with the kitchen garburator backing up, but Andrea was on it quickly and the issue was resolved. We loved that the unit had beach chairs and an umbrella and thoroughly enjoyed the proximity to the beach. The building itself, Ocean Reserve, is an older building and while the lobby has been updated, some of the other common areas such as hallways and gym need updating as well. We happen to be there during a very busy week with many young families celebrating Easter/Passover and so the pool area was very busy with young children, so perhaps not the best location for a couple looking for a relaxing atmosphere. Again this is no knock against AYP Rentals, more just about our own experience at Ocean Reserve. I would be happy to rent again with AYP in the future but perhaps choose one of their other more upscale buildings.

It was very easy to check in and check out, the real estate company was great about communication, and the apartment is very clean. The pool is quite nice, and it’s a short walk to get to the beach. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and it’s not that far off the highway. We will definitely be staying here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental company couldn't have been more helpful and responsive. They were wonderful specially compared to the staff at the building who were down right rude. They ran fire drills while we were there. We turned off the water to fix something and didn't advise us. The apartment was clean and well equipped. But the pool in the building was DIRTY, unkempt. The building had some rules that were ridiculous to execute. ie: when coming back from beach use freight elevator. To get to the freight elevator we had to walk all the way around the building. Not fun when you are carrying chairs, towels, umbrellas, kids, etc. Don't think we would stay on that property again but would definitively use the rental company.
