The room served it's purpose in the sense that there was a bed and a shower but there was no breakfast at all despite saying that it was served on their website. Furthermore, there was no bar even though there was signs for a bar. There was both an indoor and outside pool but the outside pool was closed and the indoor pool opened at 10am which is the time that you are going out to explore the area. Our bathroom door lock was a bit dodgy when you attempted to lock it on the inside, my partner had to let me out of the bathroom from the outside. Also there was not always staff around if you needed assistance. Even when we checked out at approximately 9AM on Saturday, the reception desk was closed. It was just as well that we had no room keys to return; the doors all have type in passcodes which was a benefit to the hotel. In addition, myself and partner could not get the shower to dispense warm water, luckily we were staying there during the June heat wave, so a colder shower temperature was a bit more bearable. The staff were friendly and helpful and as stated above the room did serve it's purpose for somewhere to sleep but we would not stay there again unless we got a good deal.

An absolute cesspit of a hotel! ONE TO DEFINITELY AVOID!!! Staff were not helpful, rooms were vile, no air conditioning, lift didn’t work, minimal channels on tv worked, shower didn’t work, bed was awful. I complained to the reception and was told that a manager would contact me. Near on one week later, still no response and they are even ignoring emails. The manager is useless and clearly knows that his/her hotel is awful, hence the lack of response. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

A beautiful, traditional hotel with excellent, friendly staff who go the extra mile to help. We had a lovely sea view large bedroom with a balcony. The food was excellent with a good choice for room service too. Stunning views from hotel across Torbay. We will definitely be returning.
