'We stayed in different rooms on April 29 and on May 1, 2026. The rooms seemed recently renovated. This is a no-frills accommodation: there are a little refrigerator and cups, but no coffee-maker. The concierge on each night was welcoming and competent. My only complaint is that on the second night, our supposedly non-smoking room smelled strongly of stale tobacco smoke. 'Unless you’re very desperate for a room i would keep driving. Absolutely filthy room. I used towels on the floor to walk from the bathroom to the bed and I used hand towels on the vanity to cover the surface. The smell in the hallway was of old cigarettes. I paid for two nights but only stayed one night. I forfeited the money as it wasn’t worth it to stay and be so uncomfortable.'

'The building is an early Portland mansion that’s been maintained well and upgraded to some extent, keeping the charm of the era in which it was built but meeting the standards of today. 'Place is new or recently remodeled. Everything was fresh and clean. Rooms include a kitchenette that we did not use. Breakfast is ordinary self-serve and got the job done.'

'Flight left too early to get breakfast. Hotel shuttle was smooth. Fine for an airport overnight, but would not stay for vacation. Hallway carpet and room doors were in need of maintenance. Happened to get an ADA room, which I would use shower shoes for. For the price, pretty much what I expected, but I expected more based on number of Expedia stars. Stayed at a different hotel earlier in the week with the same 9.0 review and Country Inn & Suites was a big step down.'
