'Pelangi Resort consists of a beautiful main building and several buildings with one or more hotel rooms in them. Ours had 8. We stayed at the first (top) floor with a view of the lake and standing on the balcony, which was spacious, we could see the sea and beach between the other buildings.
Staff were very friendly and forthcoming. The place is clean. There are three restaurants. Due to our family's preferences we chose to eat the most at the grill - with Western food. The cooks aren't too...

'Ligging is perfect aan t strand en ook nog een mooi zwembad! Heel vriendelijk en voorkomend personeel. Niks is teveel voor ze. Snelle check-in/uit. En n goed weliswaar klein business center.

'Very busy modern beachfront resort, friendly staff, but wasn’t a 5 star experience.
Location quite central close to pantai cenang, walkable to different restaurants, but the area next to the hotel was a bit run down. Our first room had city view but that view was very sad, there were a lot of deserted houses. Also lot of construction going on quite close to hotel.
Check-in area was not air conditioned, poor staff standing in the heat all day. Also no seated check in but regular counters,...

'Rooms are very outdated, beds were uncomfortable, cockroaches in bathroom, ants colony in bedroom. Towels were not changed, even after use they’ve been put on the floor. The lobby is nice, as is the swimming pool, but the rooms look like they’ve been have neglected for 20 years (just like the gym). I would not go there again, the high prices are just ridiculous for this level of maintenance and state. No more than a 2 or 3 star hotel in my opinion, certainly no 5 star hotel, because of the state...

'The property is beautiful surrounded by a lush forest which brings around wildlife (including some monkeys that can be a bit invasive). The tram at Bunga Raya was really a pleasure, with smiles and warm hospitality.
We do have to warn of the sand flies, which left my husband with over 60 bites on his back even after applying repellent (I on the other hand was never bothered much, as with other guests it was a hit or miss).
Dinners were all to be served when we first arrived, but by the third...
