'Very busy modern beachfront resort, friendly staff, but wasn’t a 5 star experience. Location quite central close to pantai cenang, walkable to different restaurants, but the area next to the hotel was a bit run down. Our first room had city view but that view was very sad, there were a lot of deserted houses. Also lot of construction going on quite close to hotel. 'Wifi was pretty unstable in the room which is an inconvenience when you're a business traveler. The gym is great and is open till midnight which I really appreciated. The breakfast buffet is amazing, so much choice! I really enjoyed that. I would definitely recommend this place'

'We as a family had an amazing stay. Booked an extra night. Location at beach with amazing views, incredible rooms, fantastic swimming pools. Staff is incredible friendly and helpful. If you are at Langkawi this would be the place for me to book again. We had other hotels in Langkawi on this trip. This was by far the best. '

'Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Hotel location was good. However, cleaniness and upkeeping can be significantly improved, for e.g.: a) surroumding edges of bathroom sink and floor finishing were dirty and mouldy b) no electric socket in the bathroom which is surprising for a 4 star hotel Charging points are limited and w/o USB being available. Bed lamps can be installed to improve lighting.'

'Het was heel goed,zelfs uitstekend, alleen de strand is slecht en hotel is verafgelegen vanaf de centrum.We waren wel bij terug keer netjes gratis afgezet door shuttle dienst.'

'Rooms are very outdated, beds were uncomfortable, cockroaches in bathroom, ants colony in bedroom. Towels were not changed, even after use they’ve been put on the floor. The lobby is nice, as is the swimming pool, but the rooms look like they’ve been have neglected for 20 years (just like the gym). I would not go there again, the high prices are just ridiculous for this level of maintenance and state. No more than a 2 or 3 star hotel in my opinion, certainly no 5 star hotel, because of the state...

'Prachtig gelegen hotel met faciliteiten en service op hoog niveau. Ruime kamer en badkamer. Erg schoon en goed onderhouden. Kamer/Balkon mooi uitzicht op de binnentuin en zee. 'The resort is nestled in the rain forrest. Monkeys and butterflies everywhere. The beach is magnificent and calm (no music, no motorized water sports, thankfully!). The pools are nice and so are the showers etc. The restaurants are good although rather expensive. Breakfast was great. Only downside was the lack of functioning salt dispensers. The room was clean and airy, but the fan was noisy. The resort will undergo a complete renovation starting September 2017 and that is good, since there are...

"Pelangi Resort consists of a beautiful main building and several buildings with one or more hotel rooms in them. Ours had 8. We stayed at the first (top) floor with a view of the lake and standing on the balcony, which was spacious, we could see the sea and beach between the other buildings. Staff were very friendly and forthcoming. The place is clean. There are three restaurants. Due to our family's preferences we chose to eat the most at the grill - with Western food. The cooks aren't too schooled in this, so don't expect the highest quality. The Asian restaurant was far better but a bit too spicy for our untrained tastebuds. The pools are very nice and fun for kids. The private beach is beautiful. We absolutely loved staying here. "

"Qua service heb je echt een 5 sterren ervaring. Het eten was heerlijk (hoewel wel prijzig voor Maleisie). Er is niet heel veel in de omgeving, maar dat wisten wij van te voren. Wij wilden echt even een paar dagen niets. Tip: huur een golfkarretje op de golfbaan om wildlife (otters) te bekijken. Het hotel is wel aan wat onderhoud toe, het zou zonde zijn als het gaat vervallen. Wij hadden geüpgraded naar de Ocean Wing, maar we vonden de kamer die we kregen echt niet de upgrade waard. Dit is door het personeel goed opgelost. "
