'We arrived at about 730pm and were greeted by a very sweet receptionist. Our room was clean and quiet, with an incredibly comfortable king size bed! As it was summer, we were also provided a portable fan in the room, should it become too warm. We had a great dinner at the Feathers Pub and a swift check out in the morning. Highly recommend staying here!'

'Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)'

'A lovely hotel, restaurant and bar. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a great selection of artwork. Drinks before dinner in the spacious garden then the most delicious, beautifully presented food in the restaurant. Our room was spacious, well furnished and equipped - the air conditioning was very welcome! - with an equally spacious bathroom, lovely toiletries too. Delicious breakfast to end our stay - we have recommended The Chalk Hare to many friends, thoroughly enjoyed our stay last...
