'Friendly people and nice place to be.'

'This was a very beautiful hotel. Nice breakfast buffet and beautiful grounds. Parking is extremely limited so reserve in advance to secure a spot in their tiny garage. We did not use the spa services as we were out and about. We had a room with a balcony and a river view and it was perfect.'

'We had a great time, great hosts, incredible cook, and the local Vino Verde was hard to stay away from. A place to come back to!'

'best mountain view hostel in N.Portugal -and if it gets cold there is a fireplace'

'Great hotel with super views.'

'+ Friendly people + Good breakfast + Cheap + Nice huge pillows + Clean + Nice views on the mountains + Bathtub + They offered us a ride to the busstop close to the hotel when it was raining very heavily - Very small and hard bed (putting the bag-holding table behind it and putting the huge pillow on it can make it longer, see picture) - Tv with just 6 channels that disappear every 2 hours - Quite noisy '

'This hotel is in a spectacular location, especially the view from the pool. It is close to a lot of activities. The food was delicious. The staff were very helpful!'

'Casa da Fonte is nestled in one of the sweetest villages within Gerês. This place was a good value for price. However, we had major issues with check in. We sent inquiries about check in days before and received no response. We didn’t get our check in information until after the check in time, forcing us to sit in a fierce, cold rain storm. The place smelled like cigarettes and the host is not on site/wasn’t responsive. However, we may have been a one off. Everybody has a bad day and we hope...

'A wonderful stay! Staff was extremely helpful and the grounds were magnificent! Can’t wait to go back.'
