« I loved my stay at The 1850. It was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were some really sweet, personal touches. It's right downtown Boone so it's easy to walk to everything. Daniel and the Dog is a great little bar with delicious food too. The staff was responsive and parking was easy. I look forward to staying there again! »

« The floor above us was very noisy. We had to ask the front desk for help with this two times. It sounded like running around, jumping, and banging things. It sounded like a stampede. »

« Very nice hotel. The bathroom was a bit dirty and the glasses in the room were not clean but everything else was good. The breakfast was ok. The staff were all very nice. The parking lot is not great. It is hard to pull in off King street and hard to find a parking spot if you return late in the evening. »

« I never leave reviews. I do a lot of solo traveling, and have stayed in many motels. I just need a clean bed and shower for the night. I booked for 2 nights since I was hiking in area. Room smelled like stale smoke so I asked for a different room, they had none available unless I wanted to pay $10 more for a different room.. they finally were able to “find” me one for same price of $100. for one night. The room was dirty, literally dirt on the walls. shower was unusable because of mold on...

Each member of the staff treated us like family, respectfully and kindly. and most of all with beautiful Smiles! « On the main drag, 1/2 mi from US221 S toward Asheville, about a mile from US441 east to the NC piedmont. I thought the Rhodes was great. Loved the way the room was trimmed out, suited me perfectly. You gotta want something a little different to enjoy the place; some will find the hiker chic a tad underwhelming. Thought the lobby was wonderful, the bar and restaurant look nice, didn't get a chance to eat there. Somebody took an old motor lodge from the postwar boom and updated it very well....
