« Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! »

« Check in at this pub-with-rooms almost didn’t happen as, after being told for 9 minutes by staff that “someone” was coming to hand over the room key, I was ready to walk out and find somewhere else. Eventually the unapologetic omanager arrived and issued me with a key to a room in a terrace of rooms down the side of the car park. I checked for CCTV cameras as the area did not look that secure, there were plenty of them which was a relief. The room was OK, the bed looked clean though the carpet...
